If this is true, I think even less of Andrew than I did before.
I can't believe he is badgering the Queen at a time like this!

Don't know how to multi qoute, but I can now see in the tvguide that it has been updated and that the funeral WILL in fact be televised on danish tv.

Thanks to those of you who replied

The first one of the Queen's was last Saturday - the day after Philip died. It was an audience, via phone, with Boris Johnson which I suspect was to discuss the funeral arrangements and would have been when Johnson told her that he wouldn't be taking up a place so another family member could attend. Of course they may have discussed a whole range of other issues and not discussed anything to do with Philip ... I am simply surmising and guessing ...

Eugenie has posted a tribute to her grandfather and, fair warning, grab a tissue. It’s lovely but definitely made me teary.

I ran across this post on IG this morning and thought it was lovely. It really sounds exactly like the man behind the image that I always sort of pictured when I thought of who the late DoE really was. The account isn’t famous or official or a member of the family so I hope it’s okay to post. But I found both the picture and the story heartwarming and thought you all might, too.

Looks like the people of Tanna, who worshipped Philip as a God are making a decision of whether or not they should replace him with Charles.

"...especially Granny, who we will look after for you."

My favourite words so far from anyone.

I understand that the funeral will be televised on BBC One, among other channels, but is it me or has the BBC not yet updated their BBC One schedule for Saturday April 17th?

I (still) see a snooker championship to be broadcast...

I keep checking my UK TV Guide and the BBC hasn't updated its guide. The TV guide in Australia didn't update until Wednesday evening so maybe the BBC will do so on Wednesday as well. I have access to the UK terrestrial TV via Transponder TV and have been checking regularly on this issue.

Yes they don't seem to have updated it yet. It is on ITV1's official schedule.

ITV’s funeral coverage is from 1.30-4.30 so I would expect BBC1 to be similar.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to allow you to see it if you don't have an Instagram account; nor Eugenie's, even when I checked her account.

Here is Philip with butterflies. https://greatfon.com/c/9633181005273279452

Oh, that’s too bad. Anyone know if I can copy the caption over here?

That was so beautiful ...I teared up. 💔💔💔

The official Royal Twitter posted a speech that DoE gave about issues using different technologies...😂😂😂 it sounds like me!

There seems to be one general characteristic among the designers of electrical equipment. My impression is that they must get some sort of kick out of hiding the ‘on/off’ switch. They sometimes go further and mark the switch ‘PWR’, which I had come to believe stood for Pressurised Water Reactor. For example, only experience will help you find that elusive switch on a television set. You have to stub your finger all along the bottom frame of the set till you find a cunningly concealed section, which gives way when you press it and the little red light comes on. Things have got a bit easier with remote controllers; that is if you can find it after the last user has left it under the settee. Even then, you have to recognise the difference between the terrestrial, satellite and video controllers, each of which, in any case, looks like a simplified version of the Rosetta Stone and needs about the same degree of de-cyphering talent.

No, they haven't! Sky have, but the other channels haven't.

For my fellow Americans, NBC for one will be covering the funeral...
