Máxima’s Bold Fashion Choices during Chilean Visit

Crown Princess Maxima stepped out last week in a number of bold outfits when the President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, made a state visit to the Netherlands.

The first day of the visit saw Máxima wear a sleeveless two-tone beige dress by Natan, her favourite Belgian designer. image The unusual headpiece was by Fabienne Delvigne and the outfit was finished off with a pair of peep-toe shoes. image For the state banquet that evening, Máxima wore a new gold evening dress with a sequined skirt by the Argentinean designer Benito Fernandez. The princess choose to wear the rose cut diamond bandeau tiara, Queen Juliana’s diamond watch and a wonderful pair of new earrings. The sash of the order was held in place with the large diamond floral motif brooch which had once belonged to Queen Wilhelmina. image

The following day, Máxima wore another Natan creation of a soft grey coloured jacket and skirt. The velvet headpiece was by her favourite milliner, Fabienne Delvigne. image That evening at a concert, Máxima wore her favourite colour of orange. The satin top and soft-flowing ankle-length skirt in the vivid hue suited the princess who really likes those bright colours. image

The final day of the state visit saw Máxima recycle an orange dress by Natan which was worn with a beige cardigan and a simple hat by Fabienne Delvigne. image
