Today, Friday September 25, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde attended the the ceremony of the presentation of the Blue Berets, a military ceremony during which the students who have passed the military initiation phase receive their blue beret. The ceremony took place in the courtyard of the Royal Military Academy.
For the King, who handed out the berets to the students, was a particularly special event because, among the 181 students of the first year who received the berets there was her eldest daughter, Princess Elisabeth.
The Princess joined the Royal Military Academy on August 31 and completed the first four weeks of training at the Elsenborn camp.
