Spain’s King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia paid a visit to the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid on Monday, joining a group of schoolchildren for viewings of several pieces of art as part of ‘The Art of Educating’ program run by the Museum.

Among the paintings the royal couple viewed were Diego Velazquez’s Las Medians and Fra Angelico’s La Anunciación. The program is run in conjunction with the La Caixa Foundation, in different stages for the different stages of education, to build knowledge about the Museum’s collection and an appreciation for art.

Afterwards, King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended a meeting of the National Commission for the Celebration of the Bicentenary of the Museo Nacional del Prado. The Museum celebrates its two hundredth anniversary in 2019.

The Queen was chic in a flowing chiffon white skirt and matching blazer.
