Prince Harry Surprises Choir From Lesotho During Rehearsal For Sentebale Concert

The Basotho Youth Choir from Lesotho were in for a surprise during their rehearsal at The Brit School with Joss Stone today, as Prince Harry dropped in unannounced to see how they were progressing.

Slipping in quietly as the choir, which is supported by Sentebale, Prince Harry’s charity that helps disadvantaged children in Lesotho, rehearsed, the Prince went unnoticed for a brief moment, before Joss greeted him with a hug. Harry then quickly made his way down the choir line, saying hello and affectionately squeezing their shoulders as they grinned broadly.

One of the performers is Mutsu, whom Harry first met in 2004 during a visit to Lesotho, and has maintained a friendship with since. He presented Harry with a model of a Basotho hut, as well as several framed photographs (including one of the pair’s first meeting).

The choir will be performing at tomorrow’s Sentebale Concert at Kensington Palace.
