New Website Presents Centuries-Old Dutch Royal Collection
The Dutch Royal Court yesterday set live a new website specifically for the Royal Archives.
With 300 objects currently loaded on to the site, dating back to 1490, the purpose of the website is to provide the reader with a “virtual path of the cultural heritage of the House of Orange-Nassau”.
Among the items of the Archives shown on the website at present include the former Queen Beatrix’s inauguration gown, numerous portraits and a gold and aquamarine bracelet given to Queen Anna Pavlovna by her husband, Willem II.
