Queen Sofia Visits Food Bank of Madrid

As part of the Queen Sofia Foundation, Spain’s former Queen paid a visit to the Food Bank of Madrid today where she saw the work the organisation does and what their plans are for the ‘Great Collection of Food’ that will take place this weekend.

Queen Sofia was also shown around the new facilities that have been built through projects financed by her Foundation: expanded offices, improved refrigeration of the warehouse, a new freezer truck, and tins of baby formula.

Since 2012, the Queen Sofia Foundation has donated almost €1million in funds and goods to the Food Bank of Madrid.
