Visit to Cornwall Continues for Charles and Camilla

Day two of their visit to Cornwall saw Prince Charles and Camilla head to the Isles of Scilly, an archipelago off the coast of England. The duo visited the islands of St Mary’s and St Agnes on July 21.

On St Mary’s, the Prince and the Duchess were guests at the Island Fair, where they browsed stalls of fresh food and local produce, as well as crafts.

Later, on St Agnes, Charles and Camilla saw the island on foot, meeting locals and tourists before meeting with local businesses – where Camilla got the chance to taste some ice-cream. The couple then watched a play named ‘St George and the Dragon’ performed by young school children from St Agnes School.

On their walkabout, a pseudo-Prince Harry caught the eye of Prince Charles, who stopped to shake hands and joke with a young boy wearing a mask bearing his younger son’s face.

Earlier today, the couple’s visit came to an end in the town of Newquay. They had some morning fun at Fistral Beach where they attended Ocean Plastics Awareness Day, posing and poking at life-sized sea creature characters. The purpose of the event was to promote the local volunteers who help remove marine litter and promote the recycling of plastics.
