This afternoon, Prince Laurent and Princess Claire took their three children to see the Anne Frank exhibition that is currently being held at the Abbey of Stavelot.

A small robot greeted the royal guests when they arrived, before they spent about two hours touring the exhibition called ‘La maison d’Anne Frank’ that has been designed to “encourage thinking about the events leading up to the Holocaust and how the challenges of the past affect us today.”

Princess Louise, Prince Nicolas and Prince Aymeric were each given ‘Blancs Moussis’ puppets, the mascot of the Stavelot carnival, during the visit.

The exhibition has been organised jointly by the Abbey, the Verviers Department of Culture and the Anne Frank House (Amsterdam). It will run at the Abbey until mid-February 2016.
