“I name you ‘Majestic Maersk’. I wish you safe navigation. May you and your crew have successful activities in the oceans, for the benefit of your crew, your owners and your country. I wish you a good journey,” the Crown Princess said before launching a bottle of champagne against the ship.

Following the official naming ceremony, Mary and Frederik and the main party were given a tour of the 398-metre long ship.

The container ship, named Majestic Mærsk, is one of the world’s largest container ships currently afloat. It can hold over 18,000 20-foot containers and is a Triple-E-Class container ship which will sail between ports in Europe and Asia.
