King Albert II Meets European Champion
King Albert II today gave several people an audience in the royal palace of Brussels. First he received Mrs. Julie Fernandez-Fernandez, secretary of state for people with an handicap, under the minister of social affairs and health. After this audience the king, joined by the co-chairmen of the Royal Belgian Athelitic Association, received European champion Eline Berings, who won gold on the 60 metre hurdles at the European Indoor championship in Turin. Eline Berings was accompanied by her coach Wim Vandeven.
