Hard to believe it's already been ten years since the London Olympics and the launch of Coach Core.

A charity that really demonstrates how sport and positive mentorship can help transform people's lives.

And no I can't believe it's been 10 years since the Olympics in London either.

I loved this visit. The Prince of Wales was very much in his element talking to the athletes. He's very down to earth and is good at putting people at ease.

Admins: Shouldn't this be renamed? It's now the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales.

It’s really just The Royal Foundation. Naming them was kind of quietly dropped a few years back.

CC Tuesday:
The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon received Ms Amanda Berry (Chief Executive) at Windsor Castle.
Her Royal Highness later held a Meeting with the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle (Dean of Westminster) via telephone.

The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this evening held an Early Years Meeting.

Moderators-Please move if you believe that this belongs in another thread.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are piloting a new "Impact Day" approach to their visits. The visit to Scarborough was the first of the Impact Days.
So so pleased to announce £345,000 of funding from The Royal Foundation and @TwoRidingsCF
, leaving a lasting legacy of support for young people's mental health here in Scarborough.

Having seen the way his mother Diana, Princess of Wales could generate worldwide publicity about Aids, landmines or leprosy simply through her presence, the Prince knows better than most just how much a visit from a member of the Royal family can be a force for good.
Though he lacks the sheer star power of his mother, the Prince has for years been determined to shift the dial on royal visits. His new idea of “community impact days aims” to turn the concept on its head.
Instead of visiting deprived communities, giving them a day in the sun and then hoping money will be raised as a result, the Prince and Princess of Wales want to reverse the process by using the build-up to a visit to generate money, which they can then announce and disburse when they get there.
It is something of a gamble because it will, in effect, put a cash sum on the value of royal visits. It is a gamble he is more than happy to take.

The Prince of Wales has joined a discussion about Mental Health. The episode is the result of a collaboration of the football media company COPA90 and The Royal Foundation:

The Royal Foundation has shared a five year review on the Heads Together Campaign.

https://royalfoundation.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/HeadsTogetherFiveYearReport.pdf

In 2017, The Royal Foundation created Heads Together: an ambitious nationwide campaign to change the conversation on mental health. Led by The Prince and Princess of Wales (then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) and Prince Harry, Heads Together brought together a team of inspirational charities, businesses and other organisations to tackle stigma and encourage people to talk about their mental health. It also generated a series of innovative new mental health services and practical tools to make talking about mental health easier
The review had the following information.

53% of British adults are now
talking about their mental health, which has increased from 42% in April 2017. This means an estimated six million additional people are having conversations about their mental health.
Over half of adults (54%) in Britain believe mental health stigma has reduced over the past five years.
More people are seeking help for their mental health, including through conversations, with the largest gains seen in men and people in lower socio-economic groups.

A fantastic way to kick off the Early Years campaign!

Short clip from her speech at the event.

In a speech, the Princess explained why she believes it is as important to focus on children's’ social and emotional needs as much as their physical and cognitive ones,
