In July 2016 she attended the Art Fund Museum of the Year 2016 prize ceremony at the Natural History Museum building, so not the same event or venue, only the same gentleman ;) - the Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London, Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE, Queen Elizabeth's representative in Greater London.

Not a fan of this dress on her. Just lays weird.

not fan of the dress i don't think suits the Duchess figure, shoes are lovely though

Did she wear the dress to a similar or same event as the gentleman escorting her looks to be the same guy?

That ‘s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London Sir Kenneth Olisa. He’s basically the official royal greeter, if you check he’s at most royal events in London.

Catherine looked great tonight and I love seeing her reusing clothes (it seems she has been commended by various fashion sites on "recycling" a dress she first wore three years ago).

Normally I like most of what the duchess wears but I'm not too keen here on this one.

Beautiful dress!

(But it would show even the slightest figure imperfections!)
Luckily Kate doesn't have any!

This dress is not at all flattering on her, but I do love the shoes.

I don't hate the dress but I don't love it. The shoes, though? LOVE! And I bet Charlotte loves them too. I can just see her wanting to play dress up in those shoes, lol.

The shoes are the only thing I like. Great bling :flowers:

I love that she tried something different, way out from her usual style. But it just doesn't work on her.

And if you are going to have a neckline like that you need an updo. One thing I hate, she wears gowns with beautiful interesting necklines (sometimes only thing interesting about them) and barriers them under her hair.

I think the only thing that might be new is the clutch...I love the clasp.

The dress is okay...not my favorite. Love the shoe and earrings!

I adore this dress and I love that we're seeing it again! And pairing it with those shoes, wow.

The Duchess of Cambridge's Eveningwear Part 9: November 2018 -

I think the off the shoulder sleeves look really good on her.

I love the white coat. Very beautiful and elegant.

I dislike this dress. I find the design awful.

I'm not a fan of this dress. But, Catherine looks great on it, she has a perfect slim figure for this type of dresses. LOVE the shoes!!! I wished she brought the shining silver clutch from July 2016 though.

I'm not too nuts about the dress, but it certainly flatters her figure that I'm sure she's worked hard on. Good for her.

I liked this dress the first time and still think it’s a great look. Quite distinctive and suits her wonderfully.

Kate is wearing an absolutely smashing gown tonight! My one quibble is that its NOT a local designer despite trying to evoke that sentiment. But the gown itself is a winner!

(Also wish she would do something different with her hair)

Video of them arriving.

William looks very good in the sherwani. Very pls'ed to see him wearing one.

I appreciate your sentiment, but not sure I agree fully with it. Catherine has already shown patronage to Pakistani fashion through various items already used on this trip. These official trips abroad are just as much an opportunity to showcase British fashion, and I think she is doing a great job at balancing both objectives.

I think that when trying to showcase local dress, its best to go with local designers who actually know how to make such wear. It also, IMO, helps with the issues of cultural appropriation.

She can wear British and showcase British design, but I don't think that means having British designers do their "riff" on local dress.

Just MO of course. Doesn't mean I don't understand where Kate is coming from by trying to have a British designer she trusts do some traditional dress and see that as a happy marriage of the two.

Not a fan of the dress. William looks amazing though. I love that he wore that.

“This meanss so much to us, so many times we have seen western countries making our culture as sign of terrorism and mockery. The future king and queen of UK respecting our culture means alot.”

This is an example of the comments on Twitter for the Cambridges arrival tonight. Locals really seem to appreciate the effort.

Wow. The green dress is stunning.

That’s great that the locals are responding positively to their clothing choices.

The green dress is beautiful, and a fine choice to opt for green in a compliment to the host country.

Thank you for sharing that, I agree. Catherine and William have taken great effort and I am sure had advise from many with their clothes from proper Pakistan professionals and the country appreciates. Bravo.
