Their first State council dinner ad regent couple.
Hopefully we get pictures later from inside. Since it's at their home, we won't see Frederik and Mary arrive.

The two BILLED-BLADET reporters, Marianne Singer and Ulrik Ulriksen, saw Crown Prince Christian leave Amalienborg Palace before the guests arrived.

Crown Prince Christian has, as the full heir to the throne, the right to participate in the State Council dinner.

I hope we may see FX&QM greet their guests. - Or at the very least that some photos will be published afterwards.

BT is running a live coverage right now, so keep an eye out.

A black-tie dinner as expected...

One photo has been released this morning - not much, but a nice one:

It was in many ways a historic evening yesterday, when Their Majesties the King and Queen held the Council of State dinner for the first time in Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg. A cabinet dinner is held as far as possible once in each government's term of office. Before dinner, Their Majesties were photographed together with the Council of State on the steps of the mansion's Fane Hall. When you enter Frederik VIII's Palace as a guest, the Fane Hall is the first room you experience, and it is in the Fane Hall that the Royal Banners have belonged since the transfer of the banners at the change of throne on 14 January 2024.The State Council is the body of the state government where all laws and important government measures are dealt with. The main content of the meetings is to ratify the bills that the Danish Parliament has adopted, as well as to submit to the King the bills that the government intends to put forward.

It's great that they've shared some more photos in the meantime!

Such a beautiful setting!

Some higher-quality photos are on Facebook now. I've tried to post a link to the post, but I don't know how, and I'm tired of whatever I'm doing not working.

The royal couple will begin their majesties' first sailing season as royal couple on 2 May 2024, when the royal couple will officially board the royal ship Dannebrog from Nordre Toldbod at noon. After the voyage, the royal couple move their official residence to the Chancellery at Fredensborg Castle.

"Boarding takes place at 12.00 at Bøje 1, Port of Copenhagen, with salute from Batteri Sixtus. Then there is a departure north in Øresund to Helsingør at 12.30 with a salute from the Flag Bastion at Kronborg Castle at 3 p.m. The royal ship Dannebrog calls at Helsingør Harbor with arrival at 3:30 p.m.

This year marks 92 years since the first command was raised on the Royal Ship Dannebrog. For more than nine decades, the ship has served as the official and private residence of Christian 10th, Frederik 9th, HM Queen Margrethe and now also the King. Over time, the royal ship Dannebrog has trained more than 3,400 conscripts and sailed over 800,000 nautical miles, and in its 92 years the ship has visited most of the ports in Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands, as well as ports in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and on the US east coast.

After the official reception at Helsingør Harbour, the Royal Couple drive towards Fredensborg Castle to take up residence at the Chancellery House, where the Royal Family will stay for the coming months. At At 17.00 the Royal Couple is officially welcomed to Fredensborg by Fredensborg's mayor and with flags and song by the Fredensborg Castle Church's Girls' Choir and the Fredensborg Brass Ensemble.

The royal couple took over the Chancellery in the time around the wedding in May 2004. Prior to this, the building from 1731 was renovated after having been Queen Ingrid's residence for many years. Until 2010, when Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg was fully renovated, the Chancellery was the Royal Couple's primary residence.

The Chancellery House will henceforth be the permanent residence of the Royal Family when they take longer stays at Fredensborg Castle."

Ooookay, so that means they will allow QMII to live in the main building and supposedly also use the palace for official dinners and such. QMII is very fond of Fredensborg, so it's a decent touch to let her live there as usual.
They can always move into the main building... eventually, because it's likely to think that Christian will at some point take up residence at Kancellihuset.

I guess it is more practical to let everyone continue to live where they lived in previous years even though their status has changed.

Unless Christian moves directly into the main building after his granny 😂

I’ve just been rewatching the documentary about the renovations of the gardens at Fredensborg and in it Queen Margrethe said that when she became her father’s heir at 13 one of the things that she was really pleased about was the fact that she would live at Fredensborg for the rest of her life.
