For their 100th anniversary, I suppose.

Lovely to have a book out on the king and queen. I dislike the title, how often can a monarchy be saved? From what was it saved? And how many people have been credited for saving it by now? Still, a book about them is something to look forward to.

I think the "..." in the title is to incorporate the oft-stated notion that Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon "saved" the nervous and temperamental Bertie emotionally, as well.

If there is something else the marriage saved, other than Bertie and the monarchy, it will be interesting.

I'm looking forward to this one. I find Sally Bedell Smith very readable, even if I sometimes question some of her conclusions.

The book's full title is "The Marriage That Saved The Monarchy".
