If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
First the arranged wedding of Henri d' Orléans with Marie thérèse of Wurtenberg at Dreux and not in Germany. The greatest moment of the Count de Paris's life . Even General de Gaulle congratulated.
Duke Carl eldest Brother made de love wedding and Carl was the Head of his House.
His parents wanted him to marry Anne d' Orleans but he fell in love with Diane.
I don't know if Diane was popular in her family in law , but her Mother in law had to leave Altausen because Karl and Diane living Friedrichshafen wanted to go to their main Castle

Carl & Diane moved into the family seat when his father died. Until Duke Carl's father died they had zero chance of moving.

Duke Philipp Albrecht of Wurtenberg died in 1975. His wife born Archduchess Rosa of Habsbourg moved at Friedrichhafen Schoss in 1975 until she passed away in 1983.
In 1975 Duke Carl and his wife Diane moved to Althausen.

An article from Bunte about the divorce of Duke Philip and Marie Caroline of Bavaria.

The article refers to the blog of Marlene Eilers-Koenig (posted above) and it lists some of the most outstanding auctions that Philip presided over when working for Sotheby's. They also question if the lady in question if the society figure Veronique, Css von der Schulenburg.

The couple you are showing is Duke Michael and his wife not Duke Philip.

As posted in the wedding thread: what a grand affair! Can Duke Wilhelm Friedrich get married already? The House of Württemberg is alive and kicking! I didn't expect this after Eberhard's tacky wedding.

Ps: Don't break my heart, Marengo! the young Duke should find a noble lady, and his younger cousin Carl Theodor should marry one of the Belgian princesses (which is not that far off as Queen Mathilde is a friend of the family) :D
Actually the Queen of Belgium is friends with Duchess Marie and that is why she showed up for the wedding.

Wilhelm looks like both his parents IMO
Duke Wilhelm his mother and sister and new brother in law on October 23rd were all at a wedding in Portugal. This is a new tablet so I don't know to provide the link with pictures sorry.

It seems that the art works were not the only problem. Régine Salens of the excellent blog Noblesse&Royautes speaks to the Duchess from time to time. She writes:

Diane de France, duchesse douairière de Wurtemberg : le temps de la déchirure – Noblesse & Royautés

I understand it must be bitter for the Duchess that after 47 years she is not the mistress anymore in what she considers to be her own house.
It was never her house it was Duke Carl's home and now with his death it is now Duke Wilhelm's. That castle always goes to the heir of the family.

The couple you are showing is Duke Michael and his wife not Duke Philip.

That are certainly Duke Philipp and Duchess Marie Caroline in the pic from Bunte

Duke Philipp and Duchess Marie Caroline of Baviera. She was seen at a Wedding with her Father Duke Max and she was Duchess Marie Caroline of Baviera again.

That was a the Wedding of Prince Ludwig of Bavaria. She remains however Duchess of Württemberg. I have seen the place Cards in the Church at the Weddings of Duke Eberhard and Duchess Amélie and there she was Duchess Marie Caroline of Württemberg.

Duke Phillips wife has white hair while Duke Phillip has facial hair.

Wrong. They are shown in other articles that show them as Michael and his wife.

Princess Diane of France talked to Paris Match. She will be moving away from Schloss Althausen.

The new duke has moved into the castle and it seems not everything is going in perfect harmony. He has asked his grandmother to remove her works of art.

The Duchess says:

About her artwork it was said that her husband preferred her to stick to paintings on canvas but she was drawn to monumental art. Ther eis a statue of 6 meters high on the castle grounds.

About her grandson she says:

And she is not done yet:

She is considering a move to Spain. As histoiresroyales says 'where she found consolation on other shoulders' before, when her marriage was in difficulties :whistling:.

The princess plans to create a foundation to protect her works. The sale of her works have allowed the Duchess to support numerous associations throughout the world throughout her life.

About Palma de Mallorca she says that:

Duke Wilhelm has not yet moved into that castle he is still living in Frederickshafen where he is currently getting training so he can learn to take over the family business.

It was Michael and Philipp who were trying to have their nephew Wilhelm disinherited. At some point, they were successful, in that they convinced their father to change his will so that one of the two brothers would be the heir.

Beginning in 2020, after Carl stepped down due to his age/health, Michael acted as the head of the Hofkammer of the Royal House of Württemberg, and managed the properties of the royal family: its forestry and wine-producing businesses, other agricultural holdings, and its financial assets.

Before his death, Carl changed his will again and named his grandson Wilhelm as his heir. There was also a provision in the will for Diane; however, it is unlikely that we will know how much that was. She is clearly upset, and she is an admittedly passionate person. Her grandson has handled this with great discretion, given what he has had to deal with in the courts and with his wider family.

Get it right. Duke Carl asked his son Michael to run the family business while Wilhelm was still in school and then going to train at several different businesses he did not in fact change his will. All along Carl left everything to Wilhelm.

For the first time since 2020 (i took not place then because of the Pandemic and the death of duke Carl) the annual new Years reception took place at the Remise of Altshausen Castle. This time it was a joint reception of the House of Württemberg and the community of Altshausen.
There a new book about Duke Carl was presented „Carl Herzog von Württemberg - sein Leben war ihm Verpflichtung“

Thanks, Stefan. The young Duke seems diligent.

He is seated next to his uncle Eberhard. According to the article his sister Marie-Amelié and Baron Franz-Ferdinand Baron von Feilitzsch were there as well. The two uncles with whom there supposedly was a conflict seem to be absent.

No that is Duke Michael. And the article mentions that the Weddings of Duke Eberhard and Duchess Amélie last year brought publicity to Altshausen. But not that there where there.

Ah I will read it more carefully next time. If Duke Michael is there next to his nephew perhaps the rift as was indicated is not as serious as it was feared to be.

Duke Alexander Eugen died on 18.02.2024 in Munich He was one of the sons of Duke Albrecht Eugen and his wife Nadeja, née Princess of Bulgaria. With his death his sister Sophie remains as the last living member of this branch of the Family

We know nothing about the "rift" , Duchess Diane should have remain silent , but she is ambitious ! She told me in Belgium at the exhibition of 8 Orléans's Works " la patronne c'est moi !"
