I don't understand the Alex hate either.
All I see in him is a faithful guy, who's been with Charlotte for 4 years, and never cheated on her or been seeing having a bad gesture or even a fight.
A guy who goes with her to fashion shows and horse events, and who apparently has accepted that the girl he met, who was free to live in london with him, now spends more of her time in paris or horsing around europe (and I don't agree with those who say that's not a problem because they have money. It IS a problem because when charlotte is un switzeland or valencia or wherever riding she is doing her thing she can't be taking care of alex, and when she is in paris she gets up early to go riding everyday. It is difficult to adjust to that and Alex seems to accept it no problem)

I find it a bit silly to say that since she's going out with Alex she's been seeing drunk at night and such. Well, good for her! She's 24 for god's sake! She should go out, and party and get drunk. The abnormal thing would be for her not to do it.

I don't understand either all that discussion about Alex being accepted or not by Charlotte's family or by the monegasques...
First because I have seen nothing but proof of a very good and healthy relationship between both families and second because,
Come on people! We are talking about the Casiraghi and the monegasque family here!
Charlotte is 50% Casiraghi and the Casiraghis are no more and no less than the Dellal. Some rich people who made a lot of money. Specially after Stephano, who had the reputation of been something of a shark, married Caroline. He was even rumored to be involved with the maffia! (actually you don't easily male make big money in italy without some kind of maffia connection)
So much for 50% of Charlotte's family.
What about the other half? Well, we have 25% of american actress!! That's conservative!! and a 25% (rainier) which seems to be the more conservative old fashioned part of her ascencency. But, really? Nobody else remembers that he was son of an illegitimate child, that grandma Charlotte's mother was an uneducated photo model (at a time when that was nearly the same thing that being a prostitute!)
And what of the living grimaldi? who can look look down on the dellals? Stephanie and her porno-boydguards? Albert with his collection of illegitimate children???!!
For god's sake! I don't believe at all in this hypocritical morality but if we were to use traditional conservative terms to judge them, then the Dellals would be way above the Grimaldi!

I also find kind of weird the comments about the catholic monegasques or Charlotte's being catholique. As far a I can see, those comments come from forum members who don't come from countries where most of the pouplation is catholic. Probably in the US catholics are more conservative than other people because they are a minority?
In mediterrean traditional catholic countries being catholic is simply something cultural. you are raised into it because it is around you but you don't live your life as if the Pope was watching you!!!. Most people in france, spain, italy are catholic. And they happily live with their boyfriends without getting married, get abortions, have sex whenever they feel like it, are happily gay, etc etc... this is not the 19th century!

I don't know wheter SteFano ( NOT Stephano) Casiraghi was involved with mafia or not, but what you said is just a sweeping statement plain and simple.
A cliché that's so hard to put to rest.
Here in Italy we don't make money UNLESS we're connected to mafia? Please, just try to change your overloook about my country. I am surprised that you did not mentioned pizza and mandolino.
Son estereotipos.

By now it's really time to get back to the topic of this thread - Charlotte's
current events - further posts will be deleted without notice!

Does anyone have the March 2011 ELLE magazine in German? Charlotte has given an interview:
Charlotte Casiraghi Exklusiv - Interview: so lebt die Enkelin von Grace Kelly

Translation:Charlotte Casiraghi exclusively - interview: so the granddaughter of Grace Kelly lives

Shocker. How come she's given an interview which we didn't know about? Or is it just me? I'm lost now

I think it is probably a reprint of the interview she gave to Elle France which is posted somewhere in this thread.

I think this picture is from the Retna exhibit afterparty that Charlotte attended during NY fashion week:

^^ I'm not 100% sure but I don't think that's her. Does anyone have more pictures of the after party? Wish I could see Charlotte's entire outfit. I love those boots she's wearing.

Dude......... Charlotte looks wasted. Oh btw, that guy sort of cut out of pic, next to Alexia, is he Jamie Johnson?

Random tidbit: Ever Manifesto is owned by a company called The saturday Group. It also owns Industrie Magazine, for which Alexia and Elizabeth von Guttman both work.

And what about Char? Isn't she working there anymore or did she just cooperate with them once?

I don't know, Azure. I have seen this Industrie magazine. It was the most recent issue that I was looking at. I didn't see Charlotte's name in the credits. I did look. :innocent: But the Saturday Group owns Industrie -- and elizabeth and Alexia work for Industrie -- and the Ever Manifesto headquarters are in the Biscuit Building in London, on the third floor, and this is the same HQ of the Saturday Group. And Elizabeth on facebook belongs to the "Saturday Group Ever Manifesto". I have the impression that the Saturday Group owns many things, one of which is "Wednesday London", which is actual owner of Ever. So Ever is owned by Wednesday, which is a Saturday Group company. So it all goes back to Saturday Group.

Leave it to the Grimaldis to make money on a magazine that is free to the public. How do they do it?

She appeared to work with that magazine only in the beginning, when it've just been published. I think she must do only the horse riding thing now. Time and future will tell.
Thank you, anyway;)

Well, no one profits directly from Ever Manifesto. Loro Piana and others put money into it to make it, but all of it goes to expenses. But the key, I suppose, is the connection, and the exposure. It is affiliated with this Saturday Group company, a subsidiary of another company, which owns all these other things that do turn lots of profit. It's not owned by the Grimaldis out right, but no doubt Charlotte, and Caroline too?, have interest. I never thought of it. It's a good point that you raised. Charlotte is co-founder of Ever, so she probably has stock options in the company that owns it.

How do you know that her magazine didn't make any money? They had advertisers. My guess is they put no money into EverManifesto and at least broke even. They kept their expenses low also. And for another company to buy them out they would at a minimum have gotten cash or stock. It is a good deal for the buyer also. Charlotte gets alot of publicity whatever she does.

Is the woman with the pink/purple scarf Caroline?

No, I don't think so. If I had only seen the second pic I would have said
"maybe", but when looking at the first pic of these two I'm quite sure it's
not her.

Charlotte is the one on the right, yes. We really deserve better pics, don't we?
That guessing game can get demanding ;):)

Very sunny day in Paris !
I hope that we'll get better pics soon.

These pictures are quite stingy. Hope we get better ones!

Does anyone know if the Grimaldis, and the Casi trio, are invited for William and Kate's wedding?

Maybe only Albert and Charlene will go there, like in the swedish wedding.

Oh! I was kind of hoping I'd see Caro:ermm:

:whistling: Oh, i think it will hardly happen Palomaise. First of all, P. Caroline is not an official representative figure of the principality ( at least, not anymore, now that Ms. Wittstock is H.S.H.'s fiancée ); second, she's separated from her husband, wich leaves her in a very difficult position where diplomatic arrangements and official events are concerned. Finally, as to the Casiraghi Trio... why should they be invited? They have no official duties in the principality, they are just second row figures ( remember they're Casiraghi, not Grimaldi ), and last, but not least, they're not anyway related to the bride and groom. So i guess, we'll have to content ourselves with Ms. Wittstock's attendance...

Indeed, you're right. But I thought we might see Charlotte. I mean, Alex's father, if I'm not mistaken, is said to have connections with the British royal family. So I thought we'd see her there, perhaps. But I think you're right. We'll have to be content with Charlene. :ermm:

I can't wait for Albert and Charlene's wedding. I'm sure both Caroline and Charlotte will wear something Chanel or Valentino or whatever designer house they choose. The British wedding will be much more tame. I mean, it's Glamour vs. Proprierty. Which to pick? :whistling:

I have the feeling they'll go with the latter.:whistling: Btw, does anyone know whom Kate's getting the dress from? It was said it'd be Westwood but she denied that.
