For the music specialists: the song played at the entrance of the King and the Queen in the church called: ''entrata della regina'' what means: the entrance of the Queen. This to honour Queen Beatrix. After that the national anthem will be played.

The'entrada della regina' was composed by Jurriaan Andriessen for the inhauguration of Queen Beatrix. They used it later for the wedding of WA and Máxima and for the silver jubilee of HM.

Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn of Thailand and his sister Princess Sirindhorn will be in attendance.

The Nieuwe Kerk will produce a childrens book on the Inauguration " What would you do if you were King?" !Nice!

Prime Minister Mark Rutte will press the first coin with the image of King Willem-Alexander this afternoon.

All pupils of elementary schools in the city of Utrecht get a pin today from the Orange Committee of the City.It refers to the fact Willem-Alexander was born in the City of Utrecht, and the pin is designed by Nijntje designer Dick Bruna.

Prime Minister Mark Rutte will press the first coin with the image of King Willem-Alexander this afternoon.
And here it is: http://content.nos.nl/data/image/xxl/2013/04/24/499268.jpg

On the front of the coin features the text "King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands". The effigy of Willem-Alexander is not in profile, you look the king almost straight in the face. He stands under a canopy in the royal arms

Also on the front half of the text "Je maintiendrai" can be seen. The text continues on the other side, so that both sides are connected. That's according to the maker a reference to the theme of "bonding".
On the back is the text "April 30, 2013", the day of the inauguration. The coin is on the back largely filled by small faces. They represent. "The Dutch".

Secretary of State Frans Weekers mentioned, "In the design bonding, representation and encouragement play a central role. Thus empahisesing what King Willem-Alexander's reign will stand for."

i'm posting a bit of info sent by one of our members who just joined the TRF and is finding his/her way into the forums, for those interested:

Hello carlota
Ridderzaal here and I'm new on this great website/forum.
For those interested in the Dutch inauguration, nos, the Dutch News Chanel has an ongoing update on their app. It's in Dutch, but there are some great clips and photos to be viewed. Maxima, the Queen, orange events etc.
My problem is, being elderly and tech stupid, I can't seem to find how to post messages etc.
Please post the above info.

Thank you Carlota. Exciting times for monarchists indeed. A new king and queen!

Would you guys please gather all online streaming links in one post to make it easier for all of us to watch the ceremonies? Thanks.

No,we will have to update them anyway because there will be...no doubt...so many posts here that the pages will just fly by...One of us will have to post the links to the live-stream on each page every time because we will no doubt have multiple posters asking for the same even though it has been posted time and time again.People don't tend to read on the previous page (s) all that much and rather ask time and time again.
But by tuesday there will be as many links availeble as possible besides dutch tv NOS,there's german ARD and Belgian Ëén.be ao,and ofcourse

NOS - Koningshuis a great site for re-runs..:)

a blogger contacted Jan Taminiau to see if he was dressing princess maxima for the investiture: extract attached below

Just one small update to yesterday's post, Jan Taminiau press agent replied today answering my email sent yesterday saying that they don't know if he'll be dressing Princess Maxima or not, but if he is, they'll send a press release AFTER the ceremony, gives you a clue? Don't forget to vote on the thread on both your expected colour and designer!

i guess that from the response to your email is pretty likely that he was at least shortlisted to dress maxima and even created some dresses for her for the ocassion. first, because I don't believe that one week before the ceremony he doesn't know at all if he's dressing max (although she probably has commanded several dresses to have back ups - she would always have the opportunity to use them at a later stage at some other gala - and will choose among those on the days leading the ceremony). secondly, because they seem to have a plan on the strategy to do the press release, which is not something you would have if you didn't "help" at all in the preparations.

Does anyone know which "throne" the king and queen will use? I've seen different ones now circulating as possible thrones.

The NOS says it will be those ones on there website:

Prins kiest zetel Wilhelmina - NOS Nieuws

Look to the link in post #440. That link gives the the photo of the ''throne''. The photo published on the NOS site is the throne used ad the inauguration of Wilhelmina and stands at the Rijksmuseum. Willem-Alexander has said his throne comes from Palace "het Loo".

I am not sutre if this is the official new euro coin that will be used forthe next decades. It looks like a collectors item, but not as a euro.

Judging by these photo's from Hola,Amsterdam seems to be getting into the royal mood!

Ámsterdam se viste para reinar

Thanks for the article, my friend and I were talking about WA's inauguration the other day, and we both said that it would be great to be in Amsterdam right now. It must have a very royal atmosphere at the moment. I particularly like the big tinsel crown!

A nice thing about the Dutch abdication is that the entire nation is building up to this enormous celebration. A new king, a new age. A step into a new future.
It's astonishing how the Dutch are buying into it all and how popular the royal family is.
Oranje boven...

I passed the two gigantic crowns on the Bijenkorf department store today. The Dam and surroundings are filled with enormous flags with the logo of the enthronement on them. Most important bridges in the city have the same flags. A few trams are especially decorated http://www.flickr.com/photos/arthur-a/8676901363/ and there is even an Orange train http://www.ovpro.nl/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/image001-480x311.jpg.

And while Dutch school children forced to learn a song which is filled with spelling, grammar and style mistakes, comedienne Brigitte Kaandorp keeps it simple and receives praise for her 'Lieve Koningin' (on the melody of Jacques Brel's 'Ne me quitte pas') - and all that in correct Dutch too. And like most of us -except Daphne Deckers & friends- she does know that it is actually "Door weer en door wind" and not "Door de regen en de wind".

According to the twitter account of the magazine 'Vorsten', the Brunei press is reporting that the CP of Brunei is heading for Amsterdam. Apparently his wife and children are joining him.

For Spanish speakers, the Argentine magazine 'Prefil' has a special site for the inauguration, with lots of information:

Referring to them as HRH Princess Beatrix and HRH The Princess of Orange just seems very weird... I guess we will get used to it. Especially the "Princess Beatrix" part.

According to the Dutch Royal Website, the throne is to be re-upholstered in Gold Italian Silk Damask, appliqued with the National Coat of Arms. Apart from anything else, I think the visual aspect of the inauguration ceremony will be spectacular inside the church!

Troonzetels Koning Willem-Alexander en Koningin Máxima - Het Koninklijk Huis

Rough translation via Google: -
During the inauguration at the New Church on 30 April 2013, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Maxima will sit on gilded chairs from 1901. The chairs are part of a suite of furniture that Queen Wilhelmina was time gift on the occasion of her marriage to Prince Henry.
According to the Louis XIV style, armchairs have a wide seat and a straight back. The furniture was made by the company H. E. Jansen & Sons in Amsterdam and the upholstery was done by twenty Amsterdam women and girls.
Since 1902 are the furniture has been in Palace Het Loo. The chair was use in about 1912 as the status of a throne when it constituted part of the official portrait of Queen Wilhelmina. The original embroidered upholstery was no longer fit for use and has been replaced by a gold-colored Italian silk damask with the national coat of arms appliqued from existing material, identical to the upholstery of the chairs of Queen Beatrix and Prince Claus in 1980.
Four gilded ceremonial seats to be used by Princess Beatrix and Princesses Catharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane are from the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. They are lined with silk chenille velvet with gold thread. These chair were supplied in 1808 by Joseph Cuel and are usually placed in the Throne Room.
The thrones of King Willem-Alexander and Máxima Queen will be on display from May 7 to June 16, 2013 at the Palace Het Loo. The display will also include the inauguration mantle and regalia

Prince Albert of Monaco will attend, but Princess Charlene will not as she will be traveling abroad.
