Royal Jewellery & Fine Arts Auctions and Exhibitions

It is interesting that the only mention we’ve seen of the tiara being sold is this Instagram post with no link to the auction listing. I’m a little dubious that it has been sold as I suspect someone in the royal jewel watching world would have noticed it being listed at an auction.

    Queen Máxima's Daytime Fashion Part 20: April 2023 - December 2023

I thought the V-neck was just a tad too deep but otherwise she looked lovely.

Dutch State Visit to Sweden; October 11-13, 2022

Wow...I've never noticed how much the Braganza sparkles! The Stuart sparkles, but it is blinded in comparison to the Braganza sparkle. I'm sure part of it is the lighting of the room and the angle of the camera, but WOW! At first I thought that Silvia was being low-key with an evening gown...

Tiara and Jewels guessing for upcoming events: 2022

I don’t think we will see any of the ladies in anything other than their “normal” tiaras. I think it will be too soon for any of them to consider “upgrading” their tiaras. I suspect they will wait until the coronation to debut something new.

    Princess Sofia's Fashion & Style, Part 5: April 2022 -

This entire looks from head to toe is a big “NO!” The skirt is too short, the top does not go with the skirt and has she fired her hairdresser? The entire look is just awful!!

Service of Thanksgiving for the Duke of Edinburgh; 29 March 2022

I completely agree. And even though he is disgraced in the eyes of the public, it was a service for his father, so he really did have every right to be there. I think having him enter with the Queen away (for the most part) from the glare of publicity was smart.

I believe it is Lady Gabriella Windsor (now Kingston?)….daughter of Prince & Princess Michael of Kent.

Thank you for doing this! Such a treat for those of us who won’t have access to the book! The time and dedication you put into this for others is very much appreciated!

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Current Events 7: September 2016-September 2022

To use their own words, this was “brilliant”...such a good idea and I’m sure teachers everywhere appreciate the recognition.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Step Back as Senior Royals: January 2020

Is Harry not a counselor of state (or whatever the exact title is)? If that’s the case and he’s stepping back then governmental/legal steps may need to be taken to remove him as a counselor (same probably goes for Prince Andrew).

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Step Back as Senior Royals: January 2020

I just saw this and was about to post it. I’m not sure what to think about it, but the fact they say to become “financially independent” struck me as odd. Sounds like they’re wanting to commercialize all things Sussex related which just makes me think they only want to be royal if they can make...

Love this dress, but more importantly, I think I spy a ring on her finger!

Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer and Family 1: Ending Aug. 2023

IMO, it sounds like it’s an article the Earl planted in the press just to drum up some attention his way.

    Queen Letizia's Daytime Fashion Part 14: April 2019 - October 2019

I love how she can make an inexpensive dress look like it was custom made for her. I’m sure having it altered to be the perfect fit along with a good ironing helps, but it just shows you don’t have to spend a small fortune to look sharp, stylish and presentable. (Wish my teenage daughter could...

    Queen Máxima's Daytime Fashion Part 15: February 2019 - August 2019

I didn’t like the outfit without the hat, but now that I see it with the hat I really like the entire look. Subdued and elegant but the hat makes it complete.

The Duchess of Cambridge's Daytime Fashion Part 25: January 2019 - Unfortunately this dress does not fit her correctly. Once again she’s wearing something that is not tailored for her long waist. The belt is sitting about two inches too high. It should be lower. Plus she needs a better bra for...

    Queen Máxima's Eveningwear Part 6: October 2018 - October 2021

Hair and dress look great, but I really hate it when women wear stockings with open-toed or peep-toe shoes. That’s a look reserved for old ladies who go to the grocery store in their bathrobe!!

The Duchess of Sussex's Maternity Fashion: October 2018 -

She just looks awful. Dress is rolling and wrinkling in the wrong places because it is so tight it has no room to give. Hair is meh but it would look better pulled back. That dress needs to be tossed in the fire and burned, it makes her look stuffed in to it and like she’s carrying quadruplets.

Queen Mary, consort of George V (1867-1953)

I’m about halfway through “Quest” and so far I’ve really enjoyed it. You get a sense for the writer and the “off duty”side of many of the royals. It’s very good!
