Do we have a credible source showing King Charles is having chemotherapy rather than radiation therapy, surgical resection, immunotherapy or other mainstream cancer treatment appropriate to his type of cancer and staging, which I also do not believe has been credibly sourced?

I don’t want to drive the thread off topic, but I do want to point out that we actually do not know more about the King’s health than Catherine’s in the grand scheme of things.

To me, so much of the rest is just noise. In the absence of information, the void is being filled with conspiracy theories from benign to toxic. When really, we could all just wait three more weeks until after Easter. If all is as it should be, Catherine will be finished with medical leave then.

You're absolutely right; we have no idea what treatment he is receiving, other than receving one as an outpatient. But with the shock of his diagnosis, the possible side effects of his treatment and the stress of his job, he still read the room better than William and Catherine and their team. His strategy with the media was orchestrated so perfectly; give them enough but still without giving them detail.

William and Catherine and the entire KP machinery have A LOT to learn

^^ Agree, its all just noise. Meanwhile the media and socials are all tallying up their clickbait likes, just like Mr Scrooge counting out his money! I think we can all see who the winners are with this debacle.

Agreed. KP’s communications team royally screwed up. I think we can all agree. They have had many opportunities to end this and still refuse.

According to Rebecca English they did send it directly to the agencies. So definitely explains why they sent kill notices. And also why they were able to access the metadata of that particular image.

I can't decide who I am more disgusted with: the press with their hysterical headlines or the pathetic peddlers of vile lies on social media. I think I equally despise them both.
 
For some reason, the public has a right to know has segued into the public has a right to know everything.
Now the conspiracy theories will just continue unless KP reveals every detail about Kate's medical history. I hope she stands her ground and maintains her privacy.

I don’t know, I think William and Kate would be able to have a laugh over these images, which all seem lighthearted, even affectionate. Certainly nothing like the mean spirited, agenda ridden nonsense we’ve seen from various quarters recently.
William and Kate have shown us a couple of times now that they’re not afraid to offer genuine apologies when they mess up (this photo, the “bad” tour from a couple of years ago), and we’ve seen both of them laugh at themselves and tease each other many times over the years. I doubt they have any problem with this side of the internet.

If it was retricted to just William and Kate ok but the Wales children shouldn't be part of the jokes.
That's the part I have issue with.
 
I have been an avid Royal Watcher ( past and current Royal Families ) since as a young girl I fell in love with the BBC program 'The Six Wives of Henry Vlll'. I have never wavered, and my interest and passion continues unabated.
That's why this overblown and ridiculously over the top reaction to a lovely photo of Catherine and the kids just baffles me. A simple picture, to thank well wishes for their concern and to send out a greeting for Mothers Day. And it then literally turned ugly and sinister.
I have honestly NEVER seen anything like this blowup.

She tweaked a picture, of HER own Family, not that I could tell. I mean who cares ?

Its not as if She superimposed Diana looking down smiling from above, or added subliminal Political messages. She "owned up" to editing the picture, apologized. But it is seemingly not enough. And now some are clamouring for the "original photo". And yet more information.
Why ? What do they possibly think is in the original ?
Hopefully, this soon fades. As it should.

I've honestly heard that it was released both ways. If indeed she just uploaded to Instagram, then it proves to me this is just a media tantrum that they don't have access to make money off her. They are trying to discredit their own account so they will use the royal rota.

It's laughable that some suggest if they had released the original photo this would be a non issues. 1. You don't give into bullies 2. The insanity around the photo with Carole with people suggesting it wasn't her and now others complaining about the picture with William a few days ago are examples that those complaining will always want more and more. Because there has been no access to her and William is keeping her protected per her desires the media are punishing them for not doing what they want.
 
Catherine might have been willing to provide some detail once she was back on her feet but I cannot see that happening now as it will look like they let the bullying get to them.

That’s the real truth. Remember the Princes and the press documentary when they finally admitted the workshy wills narrative was a manufactured story because William wasn’t engaging in photo ops for the media and Kate was given bad press for not showing her face or her hair was blocking camera shots. I’m sure they would love to know but it’s no one’s business what operation Kate went through.

But on a serious note, it will only get worse, you cant believe what you see, read etc. I spoke to a photographer at work today and he said anything is possible, but when you do it, you should leave it to the professionals.

William will cooperate with the press/ photographers to a point, he knows it is required. There is a line he will not cross and will not allow them to cross it either.
 
Is it just me ? But I don’t understand all this hoopla about the edited photo of Catherine. Even if they are edited, even so called experts couldn’t tell how much.
And endless speculation about the princess health. She has a right to privacy.😡
 
In a nutshell, its all about money. That famous line from The Godfather springs to mind, "Its not personal. Its just business." The media and monetized social media can't do their business (make any money) if they don't have daily access to pictures or information about the royals, in this case, the Princess of Wales. So they are manufacturing stories based on the 3 most recent images of Catherine.

There may be a percentage of people who are actively engaging in the hoopla because of personal feelings against Catherine and William, but the vast majority of this mess is coming from the impersonal money-makers.

My opinion only, of course!
 
My opinion: KP just screwed this up so terribly, and because the UK media is so laughably sycophantic, it's easy and fun for people to just indulge in the crazy conspiracies.

Can you explain what they should have done differently ? Kate had surgery, they gave us an estimated hospitalisation and recovery timeline and told us not to expect any updates unless there is something out of the ordinary. When she was released from hospital they also thanked people for their well whishes. So far completely sane and normal behaviour and it's hardly KPs fault [.....]This is QAnon for progressives.

Teenagers (the real experts in photo editing) the world over are rolling their eyes at this kerfuffle! The ones I've spoken to have all said "she made very basic errors but nobody in their right mind cares". Ha ha! :)
 
There are crazy conspiracies about everything these days. There have apparently been rumours all over French social media that President Macron's wife was born a man called Jean-Michel, and that her first husband never existed - even though they had a child together, which would have been pretty difficult if he didn't exist! Then there were all those bizarre rumours about Taylor Swift and the Super Bowl. It's not just about Kate. And it's best all just ignored!

Don't know about other socials because I'm not on them but on twitter it's random users getting thousands of likes (including mine) to their posts with memes on this thing. And tbh most of them are absolutely hysterical, especially the ones mixing it up with the Glasgow Willie Wonka fiasco.
And none of us is getting paid for this.

Yashal, there are a LOT of people trying to make money via social media. It is highly competitive and the financial rewards can be ridiculous, which is why many of them latch onto trends (such as royal bashing, politics and conspiracies) in order to get the views, the clicks and the likes. The more of these they get, the more money they make. By the way, this has also spawned other industries such as bot farming, which infest every social media platform including Twitter. Many of those likes you see on Twitter (and elsewhere) are not actually from humans but computers. The bots boost the popularity of the content, which means more views, more clicks etc.

This is not really the forum for this type of discussion and my apologies to the mods for straying off the topic of General News for the Wales Family, but people need to be aware social media isn't just used for benign content and funny meme's.

The people responsible for the conspiracy theories about Pres. Macron's wife and Taylor Swift are all far right-wing lunatics (and other words I can't use here) who have a political agenda to their hate. Because that's what it is. You can't quite compare those to people making up stories about why we haven't seen Catherine since her surgery or even what she had surgery for.
