No she can't, at least in her country. Bhutan's law requires every bhutanese citizen to wear traditional clothes.Despite she is always wearing traditional clothes she could innovate a bit like Kate did...
The queen is stunning, I love the soft pink. I love the rare glimpse we get of her in foreign clothes when away, but these traditional gowns are stunning.
Bhutanese still wear long scarves when visiting Dzongs and other administrative centers. The scarves worn vary in color, signifying the wearer’s status or rank. The scarf worn by men is known as Kabney while those worn by women are known as Rachus.
