I think she looks very good in the jumpsuit, better than some royals or celebrities I have seen. Sorry girls, you just have to be this thin to look good in a jumpsuit.

I'm disappointed at her cloths in Germany, boring and masculine. With many adoring fans waiting on the street, she should have worn a suit/skirt or a shift dress with some colors (it's summer). Her hair and makeup looked good though. The Spanish side had declined some other acts offered by the German side, it seems they wanted this visit to be as low key as possible.

Yes I agree with Donnak, you have to be that thin to look good in many clothes which Letizia wears, maybe she doesn't really to be so thin but she has to be if she want to have a good result in photos.

I would wish for her to gain 10kg. The best she ever looked was when she was pregnant

She looks great, fresh, summery look. I like that she opted for natural make-up and hairstyle. She's glowing.

I´m not very fond of the blouse, but overall it´s a good look.
Shoes seem pretty and I love the purse.
I wish she did something withh her hair. And please, change those earrings!

She looked good because she seemed to enjoy what she was doing.

She looks a sloppy mess...terrible. It's almost insulting that she showed up looking so unkempt. I may not like the way some princesses dress but at least they're trying. I don't get that impression from Letizia.

HRH Letizia Princess of Asturias Message Board: July 9

This was 2010, this is 2011:

Horrible outfit for such a military event that screams "suit"

Awful jacket, pants, sunglasses attached to the blouse like a tourist

IMO this outfit is totally a mess. It's an autumnal look. Letizia would have to wear something different like a suit, more suitable at the event and matched with the Prince Felipe uniform.

Style icon my foot, she gets it so wrong more times than she gets it right,Felipe is worse for bringing her along dressed like that

Its an insult to anyone who bothered to make the effort to dress up!

I think she's the worst dressed European Crown Princess .

Agree!!1 I was surprised when I saw this..totally a mess and not suitable for a military event at all:bang:

About time Felipe 'grew a pair' & told her to dress like a Crown Princess .

Crown Princesses are individuals. Each one can dress the way she wants. There are no rules governing their clothing.

But there's also such a thing as respect & wearing an appropriate outfit, something which Letizia has yet to realise.

They're individuals that have a job descriptions. They represent their royal houses to the best of their ability. How they present themselves to the world can be seen as a reflection of their royal house. Letizia is a stunningly gorgeous women who seems to not care how she does her "job". IMO it is disrespectful to those who make the effort to look their best when they meet her because of her station while she presents herself as if she's could care less.

Could not agree more. And there are rules of dress for everyone. People are turned away from tours of the White House for inappropriate dress. Courts of law have dress codes. And military events are particularly important as the way you dress shows respect for the men and women who fight and die for your country.

I agree & in that case God Help The Spanish Monarchy!

There is no excuse for attending such an official event as a Crown Princess dressed like she is going to the market or lunch with friends. The leather jacket was the first mistake, then comes the top that was not tucked in and the hair. She could've matched that look with a proper suit jacket and tucked her top in. Not sure what she was thinking but thats quite a disappointing look especially besides Felipe who is all very formal in uniform.

He should have left her at home!

And the worst part is she decided to put on sunglasses midway through the ceremony. If you look at the entire series of pictures at PPE Agency you can see Felipe looks annoyed.

Couldn't agree more with you, dbarn67. She looks ridiculously out of place.

There are no rules and they are individuals. But how a CP dresses and presents herself says MUCH about who they are and how they feel about the event they attend and who they represent. Impressions are made, and they matter. What Letizia says over and over again by the lazy approach she takes in how she looks is not flattering.

Exactly Emmily, she represents the Spanish Crown & how it was such a poor reflection today.

Did people at the event seem appalled by the way she was dressed? Do they give her nasty looks? Does foreign press rip the way she dresses?
