It is quiet windy right now and it is a really unpleasant and strong wind :( It goes straight through a wool coat...

The coat is should be worn more casually. It does not work for a working event. It adds pounds to her where she does not need them. She has some nice coats that would have worked much better. Her hair...well it is another mess.
As to the hair you're right and I think we can put the blame on the wind. The weather in Europe is currently unpredictable!

Maxima today:

Full lenght view * Close up

Her outfit today is quite nice. I expecially like the colour and the boots
I agree. This is so nice outfit . Colors are great IMO. I love her boots.

Maxima attended a symposium of the Creative Factory and the Ondernemershuis Zuid in Rotterdam.

To contrary, here Maxima did everything wrong. The coat does not go w/her outfit and doesn't match the occasion. It would be good if she went skiing.

You must not live where the winters can be brutally cold.:flowers: When it gets bitterly cold, any coat that can keep you reasonably warm will do. Once I had to attend a very formal event and I wore my clunky, but so warm boots, carried my pumps and borrowed my brother's Air Force parka. My escort howled with laughter, but I wasn't the only woman dressed as I was. The temperature was -11 below F at eight pm that night. You do what you have to do.;)

I think that it's weird though if it is that cold and she needs to turn up looking like she's going skiing why isn't she wearing any gloves. It's either just that cold or she could wear and glamorous and also awarm coat. Just doesn't add up.IMO

You're absolutely right Kartianna. :flowers:
However, IMO she should have either put on some very warm formal coat or replace the high-heel shoes with boots. That would look better.

Very true, I can't believe that in Maxima's entire wardrobe, there wasn't a nicer coat for her to wear. In all reality, European Princesses usually get out of the car and walk a few feet or several feet at the most, to enter the building, not like most of us who have to walk several blocks to get where we're going.:flowers:

Well, it is cold enough to freeze even if you have to walk only a few feet. ;)

I like this color on her but the pants could be tighter as in the second picture they don't look nice IMO...

Is Maxima wearing flats?

She is. I don't know if it's the colors or what, but I'm not too excited about this outfit. It's not horrible or even bad, but it strikes me as so-so. Maybe I'm the one who's off today.:flowers:

Princess Maxima attended the 85th anniversary of the foreign press association (BPV) at the Stadsarchief in Amsterdam.

This is one of her better outfits worn recently. The colors all match and are more of the same shade. Its also quite flattering & the belt works really nice.
The hair is really nice in a ponytail, nice for a change IMO.

I dont remember seeing Maxima in flats at an official event but she does have the height to pull it off :)

Nothing special this time. The colours do match but the overall look appears too brownish. All in all, rather boring.:ermm:

The colour is okay but still I'm not so keen on her outfit.

I like the colours, look very deep and warm.
Is it no longer freezing in Europe?
In many parts it is but the forecasts for the next weeks doesn't seem to change much so we will still have many opportunities to see Maxima in winter stuff. :D

Not a bad outfit. The boots aren't my favorite though and I'm not big on the leather for clothing unless it's a jacket.

She looks absolutely awful IMO and those boots I think they are the killer just the end.... why is she wearing matchy matchy all the time is that some crazy European thing that is trendy at present someone help this woman !!!!!!!!

I wish she would choose another designer. It's not that bad, but actually the fashion of the Benelux Ladies doesn't please me in general. The boots look awful, the rest is a not really modern/trendy/young/classy or whatever for me.

9 Nov 2010, Maxima at the opening of the Restaurant in Amersfoort:

Full view 1 *** Full view 2 *** Close-up *** Make-up & hair

It would be better with no leather. Also, the boots don't match. I see those boots with skinny jeans, or with a very short dress / skirt, but not combined with something knee length (no, it's not a suggestion for Maxima ;)). Also, I think the grey / leather bottom and the grey / leather coat are too matchy. Maybe a different colour of the coat would look better? Or a sacrf or something?

Also, isn't it time to dye the hair? Her roots are way too big now

I don't like her outfit at all, especiall these boots.
But I really like her hair and make-up today.

Maxima looks fantastic in this shade; however, this time as NoorMeansLight said, she's picked out really bad shoes and necklace that seems to match a totally different outfit.
I'm wondering what made her put on these shoes, they're perfect for a stroll, not a key event...:whistling:

Monic, the shoes in particular shouldn't be worn with anything, dear. They shouldn't even be bought by anyone. :D
