Svensk Damtidning has spoken with organizer of Swedish Forestry Expo about Victoria, Daniel, Oscar and Rio visiting the Expo last Saturday, where thy came unannouced.
Seven-year-old Oscar was one of 10,247 who had come to scope out the hottest thing - in terms of giant forestry machines.

Daniel played with Annika Sörenstam at Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed 2023 Tournament's (part of European Tour) pro-am competition today at Ullna Golf Course. Annika Sörenstam is the host of the tournament. She retired from competitive golf at the end of the 2008 season, and she had won 90 international tournaments as a professional. She has won 72 official LPGA tournaments including ten majors and 24 other tournaments internationally. After turning 50 in 2020, she came back from her retirement and won the 2021 U.S. Senior Women's Open.

Margareta Thorgen says that Victoria wanted to help to mark The World Ocean day. Environmental and sustainability work is something that both the King and Victoria have in common and care about. The royal family is very committed to preventing littering, it's something that they think about every day, and if all people did it, we wouldn't have to have a trash picker's day like this. "Keep Sweden Tidy" and the work that the organization has created over many years is important. It is important to maintain it also for future new generations.

Golfer Annika Sörenstam told to the media about her playing golf with Daniel yesterday at the Pro-am competition.
Annika said that her game is not much to talk about these days, she has so much else going on around her. She played with Daniel nine holes.
Annika says that Daniel is very nice, she has met him a few times before. He is very interested in sports and golf. He's a fun guy that way, very keen on golf for sure. Daniel hadn't played that much so he was a bit disappointed. But he made a birdie on hole nine, then you could see that he was a little satisfied, says Annika, who would have liked to play with Daniel at home in Florida. She knows that Daniel is friends with golfer Henrik Stenson and that they have played a little with each other at Henrik's place in Orlando. Maybe Daniel can visit Annika sometime.
Annika thinks that it's fun that the royalty is there at the tournament, it makes the competition a little more interesting and it gets a little more attention.

Victoria and Daniel attended today the wedding of Daniel's cousin Sara Westling and her Jesper at the Borg Church outside Norrköping. There were 80 guests at the wedding. Everything was very secret, the Westlings are known for keeping a low profile in all situations, and not even the wedding priest Fredrik Weflö had any idea that the crown princess couple themselves would be present.

Victoria and Daniel visited Gothenburg on 24-25 May. Victoria had her solo work events and Victoria and Daniel had work events together.
But Daniel played also golf at Gothenburg Golf Club on 25th May when Victoria visited Gunnebo Castle and Gothenburg Art Museum.

Since Daniel accepted to become the first honorary member in 2019, he has had a permanent invitation to both visit and play at Gothenburg Golf Club.
Hans Gæstadius, the club's chairman: "We asked the question via the Court. The prince combined his round of golf with a visit to a major vehicle manufacturer in the region. We are incredibly proud and happy of the visit, it's difficult to put into words how much this means to us as a club. The prince has a good game strategy and made several smart club choices. It was quickly noticed that he is a good golfer."
Daniel had wished that the visit would be unofficial, and he wanted to play 18 holes of four ball/best ball together with the club's chairman and two juniors. The choice fell on Sofia Dyhre and Viggo Axgren.
Viggo Axgren said the round was incredibly relaxed and meeting Daniel was a fantastic experience. He praised the staff for how great the course was. The day is a memory for life him. Sofia Dyhre said that it was an honor to play with Daniel. He was very nice and it was a really fun experience. The passion Daniel has for youth sports was really noticeable.
In the four ball it was exciting and even all the way. Daniel played with Sofia against Hans and Viggo. And on the 18th hole Viggo made the winning putt.
There will be a new round early next summer. Daniel praised the gold course and said: "I would like to see this become an annual tradition".

Here are three that have forest Finnish roots
Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar have some of their roots in Savolax in Eastern Finland.
Prince Daniel's ancestors on his grandmother's side originate from Savolax. From there, the ancestors moved at the end of the 16th century to Sweden and settled in Svartnäs outside Falun, Prince Daniel's father Olle Westling told Sveriges Radio Finska in 2012.
Olle Westling is also involved in taking care of the heritage of the Forest Finns in Sweden.
In recent times, other people's interest in Forest Finns has also increased in Sweden: "A fifth of current Swedes are related to Forest Finns. Many people want to search for their roots," says guide Robert Fors at Loos Koboltgruva, which now has an exhibition about Forest Finns.

Daniel is at the top with a handicap of 4.5.
Daniel's golf skills even seem to be at a high enough level to impress the best. Golf pro Jesper Parnevik praised Daniel after their round during Victoriagolfen.

Prince Daniel's Fellowship's mentoring program gives a number of selected entrepreneurs the opportunity for two years to receive support to develop their company and themselves as entrepreneurs, with the help of a mentor who is handpicked from the Swedish or foreign business world.
The mentoring program is open to entrepreneurs under the age of 40. The company must have been started after 2013 and have a turnover of at least SEK 5 million or be a start-up company with good growth opportunities. The applicant must be the CEO or founder of the company.
The program is now open for applications, the last day to apply is September 8.

The fundraising foundation Njurfonden collects money and distributes grants for research into kidney diseases, dialysis and transplantation. HRH Prince Daniel follows developments in this area with great interest and has agreed to be the foundation's patron for a five-year period.
- We are very happy and proud to have received royal patronage for kidney research in Sweden, says Håkan Hedman, chairman of the Kidney Foundation and honorary doctor of medicine.
The fact that Prince Daniel is patron of the Kidney Foundation will be of great importance and contribute to increasing the population's knowledge of kidney diseases and understanding of people who need dialysis or a kidney transplant for their survival.
Prince Daniel has been open about his own kidney disease, which was discovered by accident in his teens. After some time on dialysis, he had a new kidney transplanted, donated by his father.

In the last episode of TV4's documentary "Tronen", the King and Queen speak warmly of Victoria's many good qualities, something the King admits she has not received from him.
Several members of the royal family share their thoughts about the future. Something out of the ordinary. And praise is also spread about the future regent, Crown Princess Victoria.
The King admits, among other things, that his daughter has not received her good qualities from him:
- She is open and happy and takes all people undoubtedly. That is a very good feature. I don't know where she got it from. I am a little more cautious.
Even Queen Silvia notes that Victoria has several very good qualities that are very well suited for a future regent:
- As a child, she was very observant. So she is very present. She is a very wise person. She is also open to joking with people. To lighten the situation if someone is very nervous. She will be a good regent.
Princess Christina also believes that Victoria is prepared, she says:

Let's avoid an aging King and give the Crown Princess the opportunity to work for a vital part of her life. The King should abdicate when Victoria turns 50.
If King Carl XVI Gustaf, who celebrated 50 years on the throne on Saturday, lives for 100 years, Crown Princess Victoria would be 69 years old by then.
Introduce a rule that the regent hands over when the person whose turn it is turns 50! 50 years of preparation should be enough right? Then we avoid elderly and pensionable regents and give the new regent the opportunity to work during a vital part of his/her life's work.
In addition, the outgoing regent gets the opportunity to live a more normal retired life.

Daniel has been in Italy to watch golf's Ryder Cup (men's golf competition between teams from Europe and the United States) at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club outside Rome.

Daniel has been watching Sweden's Ludvig Åberg to play in Team Europe. He says that it is incredibly exciting and as a Swede he feels very proud that Sweden has produced such an incredibly talented player again. Sweden has many good golfers in women, but it's fun that Sweden has a player in the Ryder Cup team as well.
Daniel's interest in golf is widely known by now and at the time of writing he has a 4.4 handicap.
When asked which of Ludvig Åberg's golf strokes he himself would like to have "in his bag", he laughs and answers:
- All!
Åberg is best known for his game from the tee and during his short time as a professional has had the best statistics of all PGA players with a driver. There lies Daniel in lee, Daniel says that his are both short and crooked.
Sportbladet and TT got the chat with Daniel on the tenth hole on Sunday, but he has been there all week and has also followed Åberg during the putting laps. This is the first time Daniel is at Ryder Cup. He says that it's an incredibly big event that means a lot to golf. Think what this does for the young. Last weekend it was the Solheim Cup and now the Ryder Cup, and Swedish players are involved on both the women's and men's sides. Daniel thinks this is probably very good for Swedish golf. Many young girls and boys are sure to get hooked on golf because of this.

After having attended The Police Memorial Day's church service, Daniel took Estelle and Oscar to Friends Arena in Solna to watch AIK - Mjällby football match. AIK won 1-0.
Afterwards, the team celebrated royally with select members of the royal family who were there to witness the victory.
Prince Daniel brought Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar to the national arena. Afterwards, they went to the dressing room and celebrated the victory with the team. Picture shows the family with players Sotirios Papagiannopoulos, Alexander Milosevic, Samuel Brolin, Taha Ayari, Budimir Janosevic, Ioannis Pittas, Ali Hakim Ali and match hero Anton Saletros.

Antti Kaikkonen, the former Minister for Defence of Finland, tells at the book "Kohti liittokuntaa" (about his years as the Minister for Defence, when Finland became a member of NATO) of his meeting with Victoria on May 17, 2022, at the gala dinner on the state visit of President Sauli Niinistö.
Kaikkonen was placed between Victoria and Minister for Foreign Affairs Ann Linde, opposite the King and Daniel. Kaikkonen says that Victoria made a positive impression. In addition to good general education, she was nice in every way and they had a really pleasant evening.
Kaikkonen mentioned that he and his wife were expecting a baby in the summer.
- Victoria got so excited about the topic that she suggested a name for our baby. Since we talked a lot together, Victoria, Minister Ann Linde and I Antti, she suggested that the baby's name could be Anton Victor, after our names. I promised to take the proposal into consideration.
In August, Kaikkonen's family celebrated christening. Victoria's proposal had gone through: the boy became Anton.
- It's an apt name, with royal touch. I sent a thank-you letter to Crown Princess Victoria for it at Christmas, but we didn't dare to ask her to be a godmother, Kaikkonen says in the book.

- The crown princess's stylist caught sight of my headpieces and wanted to order one for the crown princess when she was going to confirmation in Norway. Since then there have been more orders.
What has the fact that the Crown Princess wears your headpieces meant to your business?
- Not so much on the sales side, get mostly orders from other countries. But it is of course an incredibly honorable mission that gives me a little more attention.

Svensk Damtidning writes that Victoria, Daniel and children spend a lot of time at their new summer house on Värmdö.
Four new houses, a wooden fence of over two and a half meters, wall, pool and walking distance to the Fågelbro golf course. The house is also very close to Haga Palace, which means that they spend basically every weekend out on Fågelbro and wander around in an idyllic environment among firs, oaks, hazel and blueberries.
Rio can run free and the children can play without being watched at a plot of 16,386 square meters to use. Daniel has a golf course nearby.
Victoria follows in her father's footsteps. The King and queen Silvia leave Drottningholm almost every weekend to drive to Stenhammar Castle, their weekend castle.

"You have driven a passenger car at a speed of 87 km/h even though the maximum permitted speed was 80 km/h," says the penalty order, which Expressen has seen.
According to the sentencing order, Prince Daniel committed the act of "negligence".
Daniel doesn't want to comment, the deputy director of the information department Johan Tegel said that the information is correct.
Daniel got a fine of SEK 2,000.

Entrepreneur and politician Anders Sundström has written his memoirs "Tre Liv". When Daniel became prince, he wanted to get help from an adviser, and Anders stepped in as his mentor. Svensk Damtidning quotes Sundström's interview in Expressen:
One of the important advice he gave Daniel as a new prince was also something of a warning: he must be careful not to only hang out with so-called "hot shots".
- I gave him the advice I give to everyone who ends up in some kind of position of power: Namely, not just hanging out "up there", but with people from the broad layers. He who comes from Ockelbo has a fantastic opportunity to really keep his distance from everyone who tails around the royal house. He can always go back to Ockelbo and find people who live in reality. And I think he did. Both he and the crown princess have a fairly strong connection to Ockelbo.
Sundström and Daniel continue to keep in touch, today he is a mentor in Prince Daniel's Fellowship.
