Apparently Victoria has got cold, she needed a throat pastille during the award ceremony, Jenny Alexandersson writes about it in her blog.

I am liking, that the Queen is wearing gloves and I am glad, she is "off Yuki", after two years with his dresses.

Well said--I grew tired of Yuki pretty quickly. She looks so elegant in this year's style of gown. I thought Victoria looked lovely,as usual and Madeline looked, to me anyway, like she didn't want to to be there. I think that her dress looks better in the photographs where she is seated, though. I like the color combination her but overall,

Not sure how I feel about any of the gowns yet. Anyone know what tiara Princess Christina is wearing? I don't think I've seen it before.

Most women do not have their "decolletage" on their shoulders but rather on the front of their chests.

Excuse me, however, it would serve to cover her arms and neck which would reflect additional exposure on her chest!

All in all a lovely ceremony full of pomp to celebrate accomplishments and give the SRF the chance to appear one more time in elegant outfits.

In another forum there was a comment that for the first time the Palace announced the designers/makers of the dresses the Queen and two princesses wore. Princess Lillian was missed in my view.

Paul Krugman of NYT who was escorting Princess Madeleine (Nobel of economics) my favourite this year.
Congratulations to everyone.!

Princess Lilian is a real favourite - she´s a stunning winter princess and always looked good in Nobel Gala. She´s been quite ill this year, broke a hip and had surgery. Fortunately, she recovered well. The Nobel ceremonies are a little to much for her nowadays, though. (This lovely princess is 91...) I missed her too.

Thank you so mych for all that very nice pictures and the links you give, I like princess Victoria the most !!

I would best dressed went to the men of the royal family. Although the queen looked lovely.

Victoria's dress was a beautiful color and a color that is very popular this year. But it looked a little baggy in a certain area. :whistling: If only she could fill out the dress more it would have been great.

Madeleine's dress gets a thumbs down from me. This is somewhat typical. My fashion preferences do not always match up with hers. Therefore I admit I am quite harsh at times when it comes to her. Make-up, jewelry, hair was fine for Madeleine but the dress was awful, especially the botice. Too much threatening to spill out.

Lilian hadn´t attended last year either. And in 2006 she was just attending the award ceremony, but not the dinner.

She is 93 (even) and by now she probably prefers to meet persons in her own pace.

I agree, Victoria looked really stunning. And I did like Madeline's dress, the colors suited her.

OMG! what is Victoria wearing in her hair?!! is that a necklace or what...? Can´t wait for more and better pictures to find out and see what the others are wearing. But her dress, from the little i could see, looks new :flowers:

Wonderful pics!!!
New dress for Victoria. I really love this one.

Old dresses for Madeleine and Silvia. The one worn by Queen Silvia was also worn at the statevisit to Austria in 2007! Madeleine was also worn before, but don't know when.

Very interesting to see Victorias and Madeleines hair tonight. I quite like Victorias result, but i´m not really sure about Madeleines diamond flower in the hair - even though it´s a big piece, i don´t want to support the use of less tiaras. But it was a different and quite successfull result.

Victorias dress looks really good, neither Madeleines or the queens dresses belongs to my favorites - but the look good.

When I first looked at the pictures I thought: "What's Princess Mary doing in Stockholm tonight?" ;)

There's something very Mary about the way Victoria looks tonight.
IMO she looks stunning with that altered necklace-tiara. I love her hair straight! The strapless gown looks gorgeous!

I adore Madde's hairdo... I am not a big fan of the dress anyway.

Victoria looks amazing in that dress and I love her hair she needs to wear it down more often

I love their dresses!! The only thing IMO that would make CP Victoria's outfit better would be if she had a more delicate necklace or no necklace at all. And I absolutely love clip P Madeleine is wearing!

The more jewels the merrier for all I care ;). Nice that CP Victoria decided to experiment with the jewels. The result is different at least, and much better than any of those horrid button tiara's IMO. And Madelaine seems to be in the experimenting mood too, with the gorgeous flower brooch in her hair... Again a nice surprise.

CP Victoria looked so beautiful in the two dresses she wore:clap:. She also looked slimmer, I wonder if she started losing weight again!!?!! I also noticed that Princess Madeleine has gained some weight...Still, both princesses look stunning and the whole Royal Family look so wonderful:flowers:.

The photographers have really done well this year. They got some interesting angles during the Nobel ceremony and even for the preparations in the lead up to it. This is also the first year that I can recall where photographs from the following night's banquet (Dec. 11) were available. The only photographs I remember from years past was of the royals walking to the banquet.

Both Victoria and Madeleine look wonderful with their hair jewels!

Love Victoria´s look tonight. Finally something different and new...and I´d say no other European princess could wear her dress (at the moment) and would look as good (ok, some still fight pregnancy weight, so the competition is a bit unfair)
I don´t want necklaces and brooches instead of tiaras all the time (talking about headpieces instead of hats), but for once it was nice...

Wow! Victoria, Madeline, and Queen Silvia all look so beautiful. I've never seen them looking so beautiful. I loved the photos of Madeline from the banquet. I would love to know what she was thinking in the photo of her sitting next to her dining companion.
