Question: I noticed Madeline wearing a ring on the ring finger of her left hand. Is this normal in Europe. She did break up recently with her boyfriend so I was just curious when I saw it. Great photo's by the way!!!

Thank you so much Josefine for posting all these wonderful photos.

Queen Silvia looks perfect and magnificent as usual.

Princess Madeleine looks stunning, the tiara compliments her perfectly. I like her pearl choker, just not with her gala gown. It doesn't flow quite right.

Good eye Suzanne....I wonder too. Maybe the ring is part of her choker/bracelet/earring set.

Here you can get some videostreams of the 2002 Nobel Prize Ceremony

Nobel e-Museum

At the beginning of the Stockholm Ceremony video, when they play the royal hymn, you get a long close-up of Madeleine. She looks really beautiful!

Very nice pictures Josefine. :flower:

this is what Aftoblabdet reporter thought abot the dresses

Prinesessan Christina –
4plus.gif

Prins Carl Philip -
4plus.gif
Korrekt. Men inte lika glittrande som pappa.

Danska prinsessan Benedikte –
4plus.gif
Klassisk kungamiddagsklänning. Mycket elegant i lila färg.

The Nobel Prize 2003

Inspired of Josefine´s common nobel prize thread, I´m starting the one for 2003. I know it´s a little bit early, but on the other hand...after looking at my advent calender I´ve noticed, that it´s just one week left. And I bet there will be a lot of details, which will be published before (the members of the RF, who will attend, the seating arrangements...)

The whole family will attend-at least on Wednesday.

On 10/12
Närvaro vid överlämnandet av 2003 års Nobelpris Stockholms Konserthus -Kungliga Familjen

Efterföljande bankett Stockholms Stadshus- Kungliga Familjen

To 11/12
H.M. Konungens middag för Nobelpristagarna
Stockholms Slott -Kungaparet -Kronprinsessan

Princess Christina and princess Lilian will be there too.

and for the castle dinner the day after it seems that Madeleine and carl philip will not attend
but its a tiara event

What is the general setup for the castle dinner? Have they not attended before but have attended the ceremony in the same year?

December 10th there is a prize ceremony then a dinner all in gala
December 11 there is a dinner at the castle again and also this gala, but I don't think Victoria, Carl Philip or Madeleine has attended this dinner any previous years

this will be victorias first time

As much as I know Victoria attended the dinner already in 1997, and then in 2000 and in 2001. I´m not sure about Carl-Philip, but I know, that he attended. I think in 2001.

do we talk about december 10 or december 11?

About december 11. Maybe I will find pictures.

Oh, Yennie was faster...thank you, Yennie. :flower:
Now I´ve looked at the calender-archive of royalcourt.se and it says that Victoria and Carl-Philip attented both in 2000 and 2001

okay. Two dinners. I was a little confused. But with some people attended some things and others attending other things. Okay.

Good question. I think they used the excuse "school" in 2000 and "practical training" (she did one at that time) in 2002.
But probably it was just laziness and disinterest. The "big show" is on december 10.

Oh how lovely!

I just love the Nobel Prize Festival, it's one of the nicest festival. It's all the educated and royal personage who's there, no competition or Hollywood kind of feeling, but just the nice smell of knowledge and royal!

Why wasn't Victoria there last year?
