The Mikasa Family Thread

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Mikasa family Agenda for the week from October 9th to October 15th:

October 8th-9th: Princess Akiko: attending the symposium to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the students' Karamushi weaving experience and visit to monitor local conditions in Fukushima Prefecture.
October 9th: Princess Nobuko: attending the charity bazaar for the 60th anniversary of the Children's City at the Meiji Memorial Hall.
October 9th-10th: Princess Yōko: attending the National Sports Festival in Kagoshima Prefecture.
October 10th-11th: Princess Akiko: attending the National Sports Festival in Kagoshima Prefecture.
October 12th-13th: Princess Yōko: attending the 25th Hokuriku Welfare Golf Tournament and the Prince Tomohito Memorial Cup in Toyama and Fukui Prefectures.
October 14th-15th: Princess Nobuko: attending the National Sports Festival in Kagoshima Prefecture.

I did not expect Princess Nobuko to resume activities so soon and even participate in the National Sports Festival in Kagoshima Prefecture. It is strange because she was not listed among the Princesses who would visit for the festival last week.

:previous: Princess Nobuko's National Sports Festival attendance was announced later on October 7. She and the prefecture were probably finalizing arrangements.

Princess Nobuko's main agenda:
10/14: canoe competition (at Todoroki Nose Special Stadium in Yusui Town), tour Oguchi Sake Brewery in Isa City
10/15: Kyūdō archery competition (at a special venue in Izumi City General Sports Park) and a judo competition (at Nishihara Shokai Arena in Kagoshima City), visit the city's Oidon Market Yojirokan

Source: 373news.com which also notes Princess Nobuko is a great-great grandchild of Kagoshima-born Ōkubo Toshimichi, one of the Three Great Nobles regarded as the main founders of modern Japan.

Ōkubo Toshimichi - Wikipedia

Princess Nobuko attended Wakayama's National Sports Festival in a wheelchair shortly after fracturing her right ankle in 2015. She broke her ankle, stuck in a pothole on September 30, 2015 during an event in Miyagi Prefecture with full recovery expected in 5-6 weeks. After being fitted with a cast in Tokyo on October 2, Princess Nobuko was at Wakayama's National Sports Festival 3 days later on October 5, 2015.

Photos from her organization Princess N Project (sadly, no longer updated):
Her progress on recent fractures has been described as uneventful, so as long as the venue is wheelchair accessible and other accommodations prepared, Princess Nobuko seems eager to resume public duties.

I hope Princesses Akiko and Yohko are getting regular checkups given their maternal history of breast cancer and Nobuko's multiple fractures.
