It's windy today, as you can tell from the photos.
For once the whole show takes place at Amalienborg and not Fredensborg or Christiansborg.

I see Mary will be hosting a lunch for the Turkish first lady tomorrow. It's good to see that they are taking over more and more and that their residence is also used so much.
 
Judging from the program, it is mostly Frederik and Mary being the "hosts" for the presidential couple. Frederik today with the president of Turkey at the Business seminars, Danish Industries and House of Green....and Mary tomorrow with the First lady.

The gala dinner, speeches, and probably a clip or two from todays events.

It is pretty windy today and as you can tell from this picture, Frederik has made sure his trousers won't fly away, by keeping them in a firm grip inside his pockets. :p (We need a Marilyn Monroe-smiley).

We can't watch the program at the moment, but that might change. So keep checking! Whether there is geo-blocking for a certain program usually depends on copyright restrictions. So we might be able to watch the summary ;).

I saw it also and very impressed, great red uniforms.
The entrance of Prince Joachim and afterwards Prince Frederic were not the same. The Crown Prince forgot what he had to do and where he had to go ..
The Princesses with their same tiaras again. Nice red dress for Marie.
HM the Queen was great as usual ! I like the palmette tiara.
 
Okay, for those who couldn't watch the programme live (I'm sure a working link will surface later).
First half was basically the guests arriving. I.e. dresses, politicians and who's who of Danish commerce and industry because this is very much about business. Turkey has developed into a major industrial power in regards to heavy industry in particular.

This is actually the first state visit since the start of diplomatic relations between DK and Turkey in the 1750's.

A couple of details: Tanja Doky looked very elegant indeed and so did Mary and our Marie.
The Turkish President was flanked on both sides by Mary and QMII, I presume the Turkish first ladt was flanked by PH and Frederik but I couldn't see.
The Knights Hall/Great Hall the whole show took place in is very beautiful and it is AFIIR the first time I've seen an event from the hall. Unfortunately it's also fairly small, so the guests were divided and seated in several rooms.

It will please Polyesco, and others no doubt, that Frederik this time did the correct thing at the top of the stairs and made sure that Mary was to his right, as befits a precious person as one's wife.
I presume a technical glitz prevented Joachim from doing the same thing with his precious Marie.

A good deal of the commentaries was about how M&F are taking over more and more and with confidence.

The white west should reach about two centimeters or one inch below the jacket - not twenty centimeters!

In case anyone should wonder. Frederik is wearing the mess uniform of the navy, complete with his free fall jump wings.

I'm not sure, Muhler... :p We all know that one of Frederik's and Mary's beloved characteristic is their more informal/relaxed appearance in all things they do. And I'm probably the same type, it doesn't always need to be so correct and stiff in my world. And I guess I'm a too informal person to understand this. I really don't see what the difference is between Mary standing on Frederik's right or left side :p I wouldn't even had noticed it if you haven't mentioned it :ROFLMAO:

To me the couple looks just as beautiful and complete then Mary stands at Frederik's left side as at his right :p

my favorite part is when mary looses her shoes in front of all the cameraes, the journalists and people and she just stop up..say oops..laugh and give a big mega watt smile to them all..you go girl:D
 
I think I like this room and seating order better than the one used in Fredensborg. They should use it more often.

The Queen and all 3 princesses looked very elegant last night.

But Marie put her elbows on the table during the President's speech.
I was taught that's bad manners.

Does the President have a cold or is this his usual voice?

Considering that Frederik and Mary have handled most of the stuff during State Visits for the past 5-6 years, it's about time that the commentators notice it...;)
