Summary of a lot of articles in Billed Bladet #18, 2016.
Now, I didn't follow the event, so this brief summary is based on locations rather chronology.
And as for the articles, see for yourselves here:

Lejonbacken - in front of the royal palace.
At around 12.15 when the SRF and their guests appeared on the terrace some 10-15.000 had gathered down below, including Sweden's largest choir under Carolina of Ugglas. The some 2.000 members sang three songs for the King, including Wild One.
That was followed by a general singing of the birthday song.
It was also here Victoria for the first time showed her new-born Oscar in a public setting. Wearing clothes from Lillelam and shoes from Livly, Oscar was pretty unimpressed though.
Ever the eager photographer Mary was seen standing behind King Carl Gustav and Queen Silvia snapping away.
The palace courtyard - the changing of the guards and flowers from children.
While grandpa Carl Gustaf was busy looking at soldiers and getting flowers from children, the family, including Estelle looked on. That was reasonably interesting, even though 30 minutes just standing around can be a little boring as a yawn revealed. But you can always clap to the music, they played ABBA so that was lively, or go for a tour of the family. So Estelle darted over to grandma Silvia and then on to aunt Madeleine and then aunt Sofia.
Even though QMII had been placed among the retired monarchs, Princess Beatrix and ex-King Juan Carlos and ex-Queen Sofia they seemed to have a cozy time. However while Estelle had no problems greeting ex-Queen Sofia, she was more reluctant when it came to ex-King Juan Carlos.
This was the first even the newly arrived M&F took part in.
Gala-dinner at the palace.
Carl Gustaf walked in with QMII by his side. She's not only a relative but also the most senior of royal guests.
The rest appeared to team up with their table partner.
Madeleine wearing a Elie Saab dress with Chris O-Neil.
Victoria, also wearing an Elie Saab dress and a clutch also from Elie Saab, arrived with Daniel and brother Carl Phillip.
Frederik arrived wit the Icelandic First Lady, Dorrit Moussaieff.
Mary wore her new hear-thingy by Charlotte Lyngaard - (And now I need a little help especially from those who can read Danish, because I have no idea what I am to write about now!) It's in two shades of gold with a few of the leaves made from Diamond-pave (?). Her earrings were made from rutil-quarts (?) and culture-pearls (?) encased in 18 carats of gold.
Benedikte wore a dress by Wichmann Couture.
Quen Mathilde a dress by Giorgio Armani Prive
The NRF were represented by Märtha Louise and Ari Behn, due to a tragic helicopter accident in Norway.
The late-night party at the palace.
After the dinner the guests proceeded to the ball-room Vita Havet (the White Sea) and then it was party! Which continued until 06.00 in the morning.
It was the ensemble from the ABBA show Mamma Mia who was in charge of the music, and very appropriate at least one original ABBA member was present.
When they didn't play, Cotton Club took over.
The DJ was a Anders Wickmann, who has been a DJ at SRF parties before.
The King went on stage and played air-guitar, electric air-guitar of course. Then he sang Diana Ross' Upside Down, clutching a trumpet in one of his hands. - That is when he wasn't busy taking a turn on the dance-floor with especially Queen Silvia.
Guests tweeted and said afterwards: "It's festive when the King play electric guitar. A fantastic party". - It was full throttle and it was a really cozy evening. It's really been fun"!
Te Deum.
Wearing a dress from Dolce & Gabbana, Victoria brought her husband and daughter to the service.
Prince Albert explained why his wife wasn't present: "Charlene is at home with the children". (Perhaps they are sick?)
Gala-show, Friday.
Madeleine wore a dress by Erdem. A clutch from Bottega Veneta and shoes from Marchesa.
Victoria wore a dress by H&M's Conscience-collection and shoes from Dolce & Gabbana.
Here Victoria have a speech: "Your Majesty, dear dad, 70 years ago you were born into the circle of your mother, father and four sisters at Haga. You were a long/dearly awaited child and the idyll was complete until tragedy struck the family. Your father perished in an accident and eventually you moved to Stockholm Slott. Time passes. Today a little prince and princess live at Haga. Your grandchildren Oscar and Estelle. Haga which means so much to our family-line has once more become a home.
You were only 27 years old, twelve years younger than me today, when you took over the throne. I can only speculate about how it must have felt to take over the task that had been your grandfather, King Gustaf VI Adolf, since 1950, in such a young age. To represent our country nationally and internationally as head of state as demanded by the office".
Dannebrog.
The members of the DRF who went to Sweden slept aboard the royal yacht Dannebrog, which went ahead to Stockholm. (And as such they also slept on Danish territory).
Benedikte arrived Friday afternoon and was received by the commanding officers at the gangway and got a bouquet of flowers as a little birthday present. It was her birthday that Friday.
Later Friday QMII arrived and naturally inspected the honor-guard lined up on the quarter deck.
While waiting for her sister Benedikte visited a number of local relatives and in the evening the two sister celebrated Benedikte's birthday with a dinner.
M&F arrived Saturday morning.
After the party M&F were seen leaving Dannebrog Sunday morning, no doubt after very little if any sleep.
While QMII and Benedikte left in the forenoon.
