Thanks, Blog Real. I didn't know that and assumed that, since they are no longer official members of the Royal Family, they no longer had state security.


The Spanish government seems to be more generous than the governments of other kingdoms in terms of providing personal security to non-working royals. Is it justified based on continuing threat from terrorist organizations?

This may be the reason. Infanta Margarita, sister of King Juan Carlos, also has security.
The children of Infanta Cristina and Infanta Elena also had security until they turned 18.

They maintain it because although they are not members of the Royal Family, they are still Infantas. Their children maintained a certain security while they were minors.

In general, high levels of protection for public officials are maintained in Spain. ETA stopped killing but Islamist terrorism appeared, so security levels remain strict.

Beautiful, the children adore their parents because they truly were very hands-on and loving. Nice to see Iñaki surrounded by all his children, it seems Juanito, who suffered so much with the corruption case and extramarital affair, has finally forgiven his papa.
