Crown prince and Crown Princess on an official visit to New York
H.K.H. Crown Prince Haakon and H.K.H. Princess Mette-Marit visiting New York on 5 to 7 December 2016. They will include attending the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Crown Princess attends 5th of December at the UN Development Programme (UNDP) its 50th anniversary. H.K.H. Crown Prince Haakon is among the speakers at the event, by virtue of its role as a goodwill ambassador for UNDP. Author and actress Padma Lakshmi is the host for the evening. Tuesday December 6th attends Crown Prince at an awards ceremony for the Human Development Index together with UNDP Administrator Helen Clark. The Crown Prince also attend UN deputy Jan Eliasson.
Wednesday, December 7 attending Crown Princess including an event on the implementation of the new sustainability goals at the International Peace Institute (IPI); Reaching the furthest Behind First. There will be a meeting with the press after the event.

The Crown Prince was appointed goodwill ambassador for the UN Development Programme in 2003.
