Good for her if she is happy that is all that matters.
I think this will be the first of his girls to wear the Spencer tiara if she decides to wear it/it works with her wedding.

Why in the article there is a question if she converts to Judaism and not he to Christianity?
Every mention of a marriage between a Judaist and a Christian there is always the same question and the other way round - never.
I have nothing against Judaists but it annoys me.
Lady Kitty Spencer is to marry multi-millionaire Michael Lewis.

I don't think all branches of Judaism do either but halachically speaking a mother has to be Jewish for any children to be born Jewish which is important to some people even if they aren't religious. Although I believe liberal/reform denominations accept patrilineal descent as well.
Hadn't thought of that it will be really nice to see it worn again.
Well, be honest, you’d have to be a multi-millionaire to land someone like Lady Kitty Spencer.
It would be historic in the fact that the tiara was being used as a wedding tiara by a Spencer lady of the next generation.
Eww. Different strokes for different folks and all, but what on Earth does a 60-year-old have in common with a 29-year-old? My dad is only 10 years older than that guy. It stinks of him wanting some hot young thing on his arm to squire around, and the fact she has a title probably sweetens the pot. I have nothing against age gaps, I think most of them are manageable. This one...eh. I'm not buying it.
It seems like an odd thing to be annoyed by. The reason you see conversion going in one direction and not the other is that Judaism is matrilineal. Meaning, you trace your religious descent through your mother, not your father. A Jewish father with a Gentile mother will give you a Gentile child. That's not the case with Christianity. An Anglican father and a Presbyterian mother will have a Christian baby, regardless of denomination. Many Jews believe it's important that Jews marry other Jews so that there will be Jewish children to perpetuate the faith.
Reform Judaism accepts patrilineal descent, yes. If the father's Jewish, it doesn't matter if the mother is or not. As long as the child is raised Jewish, they will be considered Jewish. Conservative and Orthodox Judaism is matrilineal.
Edwin Schlossberg comes from Orthodox Jewish family but he and Caroline Kennedy married at at Our Lady of Victory (Roman Catholic) Church which obliged the children of the couple to be raised as Roman Catholics, who they in fact are (baptized, confirmed and - in case of Tatiana - married in RCC, although they also observe Jewish traditions, holidays and holy days)[/B]
Getting married in a Catholic church doesn't obligate you to raise your children Catholic. You can raise your children in whatever faith or lack of faith you want. For example; my maternal grandfather was Catholic, my maternal grandmother was Methodist. They married in a Catholic church. Before they could do that though, my grandfather had to receive permission from the local bishop to enter into what was called a "mixed marriage," because while my grandmother was a Christian, she wasn't a Catholic. She didn't have to promise to raise their children Catholic. In fact, my father and uncle were raised Methodist. They got married in 1943. I've been to many "mixed marriages" in my life between Catholics and non-Catholic Christians and Catholics and non-Christians, and at no point was the non-Catholic spouse expected or forced to raise their kids Catholic.
Hmmm....the Catholic Rite of the Sacrament of Matrimony does indeed require couples to vow that they will "accept children lovingly from God, and raise them according to the teachings of our Holy Mother the Church".
Before Vatican II this was absolutely a requirement in order to have a Catholic wedding.
Well, yeah, she's not marrying the bloke who works at the local Nando's. You know what they say about people who marry for money — they earn every cent. I wish her well, but I don't see this lasting very long. It almost sounds like something you'd do as a cry for attention, not because you're in the throes of deep, passionate, eternal love.
What on earth does Prince William's future position as Supreme Governer of the Church of England have to do with Lady Kitty eventually converting to Judaism? If she has found a way to reach God then good for her.Lady Kitty to convert to Judaism ahead of her marriage to Michael Lewis
