Maria Laura's wedding tiara will be very interesting, because there are several tiaras in both sides of her family. I assume that the tiaras of her paternal grandmother AD Margherita are also available for her. There are
- the bandeau tiara that Princess Margherita and her two daughters wore for their weddings
- the stunning choker-bandeau tiara which hadn't been seen as a tiara in about a century until Countess Olympia of Arco-Zinneberg wore it at her wedding
- the Sayoy Aosta scroll tiara usually reserved for Princess Astrid, until Countess Anna Therese of Arco-Zinneberg borrowed it for her wedding
- might there be anything else stacked away, that we haven't seen for decades?
I somehow think that she will chose a tiara with a Belgian connection, that is the art deco bandeau, or the Savoy Aosta tiara, which Princess Astrid has worn in her capacity as a Belgian princess. It might be a question of her personal taste: the sleek and clear art deco design, or the more ornate and frilly scroll design? And does she want for herself a looks that is different from her sister-in-law Elisabetta's wedding look? Or did the family decide to make the art deco tiara their traditional wedding tiara which is to be worn by all the brides?
Currently, I tend to think that Maria Laura is going to wear the art deco bandeau, but I'm by now means sure.
