Predictions for Japan:

The Emperor will not arrange for any more leaks or comments in regard to his feelings about public controversies or the government's pandemic strategy, barring a major disaster.
The Government will not seriously pursue any amendments to the Imperial House Law, whether in relation to princesses or the former cadet branches. Nor will they make any attempt to name a prince-candidate from the former cadet branches.
At least one princess will announce her engagement, probably Tsuguko or Kako.
Prince Hisahito will enroll at Gakushuin or another posh high school.
Mako Komuro will announce an internship or job in the United States, sparking an intense debate about whether she used her royal connections to obtain it. No pregnancy or relocation for Mako and Kei Komuro.

Predictions for Norway:

The King will add to his chronicle of pitch-perfect, resonant speeches with a heartwarming speech at Princess Ingrid Alexandra's coming of age celebration (in which he will again mention her historic position as Norway's potential first female head of state), and at least one more speech giving comfort and sympathy to Norwegians affected by the pandemic.
If Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett formalize their unofficial engagement, official approval of the marriage will be granted, allowing the princess to maintain her succession rights.

Other:

At least one non-democratic monarchy will (continue to) encounter grave unrest.

It's interesting how in one of the above prince Rafael gets engaged to princess Alexandra of Luxembourg while in another he starts his search for an African princess :)

Prince Rafael and Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg would make an interesting couple. But it's unlikely to happen I think.
Princess Maria Laura of Belgium could also be another chance for a bride for Rafael.

To me I hope the old Royals such as King Constantine , King Albert II , King Harald , Queen Paola , will stay in good health !
Not interested in future Children or soi disant Weddings.

UK

> The Queen regains her heath, and continues to conduct some engagements. Greater co-ordination between BP, CH and KP, and a greater number of engagements of 1-2 of the Queen, C&C and W&C.

> Harry and Meghan continue to push "their truth", but whilst troublesome in the near term, has no lasting impact on the monarchy. Eventually, they realise the negativity is doing more harm to their brand than good and desist.

> NO resolution of the Epstein affair, the matter drags on

> Peter Philips to marry in a private ceremony

NETHERLANDS

> Another controversy / mis-steps by W-A and Max like the controversy of the Greek holiday or C-A's 18th birthday party

DENMARK

> QMII, Fred & Mary continue about their business. More and more done by F&M.

> Celebrations for the jubilee of QM and the 50th birthday of the Crown Princess interrupted by COVID

> J&M more or less disappear from public view.

SPAIN

> F&L continue to do a good job

> J-C clears his name, returns to Spain, but keeps a very low profile and is not seen publicly

> Sofia continues to be popular

LUXEMBOURG

> The Grand Duchess continues to not carry out any public engagements. Any appearances are in support of her chosen charities, family occassions or to publicise her book. She largely retreats to Paris and Biarritz

> Another baby for Steph & Gui

Luxembourg
-Louis and Scarlett marry
-Third pregnancy for Felix and Claire
-Gui and Stephanie spend time in London with rumors of them seeking fertility help. A possible second pregnancy

Monaco
-Ian and Jazmin get engaged

-Third pregnancy for Pierre and Beatrice

Uk-
-Peter and his Scottish girlfriend get married at Crathie Kirk in the summer, reminiscent of Anne and Tim’s wedding.

-A baby for Lady Gabriella and Tom Kingston
-A elderly member of the BRF gets COVID which causes concern, but the royal recovers.
-Catherine has a smaller 40th birthday celebration in Jan. Just the Middleton family and a few close friends. She and William have a larger joint 40th birthday party in June.

Hamzah & Basmah will have second boy.

GREAT BRITAIN
The Queen remains in good health for her age & the Platinum Jubilee is a great success
William and Catherine take on the Commonwealth ambassador roles formerly held by Harry & Meghan.
The Dukedom of York is put into voluntary abeyance and Andrew steps completely out of public life. The Epstein affair continues to simmer.
Princess Eugenie announces a second pregnancy with a girl born around Christmas.
Cracks begin to appear in the Sussex marriage and Harry considers returning to the UK with both children.

The prediction for 2022 is: everything is unpredictable.

Who would have predicted Harry breaking away from the monarchy? Who would have predicted the former Spanish King living in the desert? Who would have predicted the Duke of York having to prove he can not sweat and ate a pizza in Woking? Who would have predicted a Norwegian princess hooking up with a supposed Shaman? Who would have predicted the Dutch royals to make a video-taped excuse for travelling to their Greek estate? Etc. Etc.

I really like these. The abeyance of the York dukedom is something I had never thought of but is a distinct possibility.

The Queen's jubilee will be low key because of the pandemic but I agree it will be a success.

Although we are not supposed to predict or talk about deaths, so if not allowed please delete, but I feel that we will lose two aged royals this year. One not-reigning and the other a current monarch - not QE11!
