Last Day in Greece for King Philippe and Queen Mathilde
Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde started the third and last day of the state visit to Greece today, Wednesday May 4, by visiting the Island of Revithoussa, in the gulf of Megara, west of Athens.
There, the Royal Couple, along with the Belgian delegation, paid a visit to the Liquefied natural gas terminal, one of the “twenty-eight LNG terminals that operate today in the wider Mediterranean region and in Europe”. The King and the Queen toured the Island by boat and where informed about the Revithoussa LNG terminal and renewables, geopolitical context of energy and fluxys investment.
At lunchtime, back in Athens, the King attended a business lunch with Belgian and Greek CEOs, while the Queen was took part in a working lunch focused on the Sustainable Development Goals.
