Last Day in Cambodia for Princess Marie
Today, Thursday April 7, five and last day of the working visit to Cambodia, Princess Marie paid a visit to the Voices for Gender Equality project. The project works “to increase the capacities of women and LGBTQ individuals to claim their rights, while simultaneously increasing local authorities’ knowledge of relevant legal frameworks and tackling public perceptions through school and media-based campaigns” and aims to “to contribute to improved gender equality within government structures and in public life in Cambodia by ensuring that targeted women, girls and LGBTQ individuals are empowered to claim their rights and have increased support from authorities and their communities”.
Princess Marie met with the women involved in the project and attended a meeting.
