The Crown Princes of Abu Dhabi and Jordan were present for the opening of this year’s World Future Energy Summit at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on Monday.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan delivered a speech at the Summit, which is being held as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. “The future can not be discussed in isolation from ensuring an active role for youth and investing in the development of their abilities and skills, refining their talents, qualifying them and empowering them to be leaders of the future,” the Sheikh said, before he and Crown Prince Hussein presented the 2018 Zayed Future Energy Prize.
Also attending the summit were the Presidents of Mauritania and the Seychelles, Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz and Danny Faure, respectively.
Sheikh Mohammed is the patron of the Summit.
Later in the day, Crown Prince Hussein was given a tour of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
