2-Day State Visit from Qatar to Malaysia

Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Khalifa Al-Thani and his wife Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned will begin a state visit to Malaysia for the first time today.

The Emir is scheduled to meet with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tunku Mizan Zainal Abidin and with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues. The meeting will also bring talks about tourism, education, banking and finance to the table.

In a statement from the Foreign Ministry, it said “In addition, the visit would provide an opportunity for the leaders of both countries to discuss regional and international issues of mutual concern to Malaysia and Qatar.”
