King Philippe and Queen Mathilde Visit The Emile Verhaeren Exhibition
Earlier today, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde visited the ‘Emile Verhaeren, een dichter voor Europa’ exhibition on late 19th – early 20th century poet Emile Verhaeren in Sint-Amands. The royals were welcomed by Sint-Amands mayor Peter Van Hoeymissen and Antwerp province governor Cathy Berx.
The royals laid flower tribute on the grave of Emile Verhaeren. They then made their way by foot to the Verhaeren Museum where the poets work is on display. During their walk, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde greeted people who came out to see them. After the exhibition, the royal signed the guestbook.
Queen Mathilde wore a lovely printed green dress, matched it with nude pumps and a clutch. King Philippe wore a suit and a green tie.
