Imperial Tea Party – with champagne!

Last week, Their Imperial Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan hosted tea party to thank all those who contributed to the success of their recent visit to the Philippines and started everything off with a congratulatory champagne toast.

The event, held at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, was formal yet relaxed, with the guests smartly dressed and chatting happily with the Imperial couple.

Empress Michiko, was as serene and elegant as ever wearing a floor-length outfit in dark grey complete with a beautiful corsage.
