Today, Princess Desiree and Baron Niclas Silfverschiöld celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary.

Princess Desiree and Baron Niclas’s engagement was announced on December 18, 1963 and they married on June 5, 1964 in Stockholm. As she married a non-royal, she lost her style of Royal Highness. She is now known as Princess Désirée, Baroness Silfverschiöld. The couple have three children.
