She doesn't mind defying convention in favour of comfort/safety/health. Good for her.

At first I thought Katharine, Duchess of Kent was wearing a black scarf around her neck yet I see indeed is a crossbody bag. And... her white trainers match her white blouse. At 89 and the fact she doesn't seem to come out very often it was lovely to see her supporting the cause she helped to set up.
