Svensk Damtidning thinks that when the family has a new puppy Rio, maybe Daniel was taking care of it and stayed at home when Victoria and the children visited the bees and sheep.

Prince Oscar de Suède, sa halte très câline auprès des moutons

Shy? Not at all! Prince Oscar is the coolest prince in the pasture - and completely fearless for the sheep.
What a little animal lover he is, Prince Oscar! And what a happiness for a four-year-old to have his own lambs hug outside the knot.
The new pictures from the sheep garden at Haga are truly wonderful and Prince Oscar was completely fearless. It is noticed that he and the sheep have been friends for a long time, and that they like each other very much.
Prince Oscar leaned carefree towards the sheep mother and she remained friendly. And next to it stood Mom Crown Princess Victoria, looking happy.
- They seem to be very friendly, these sheep, they butted happily at Prince Oscar and were not shy at all, says TT's photographer Jonas Ekströmer who was on the scene this fine May evening at Haga.
The Crown Princess family has been proud sheep owners for many years by this time, and Prince Oscar and his big sister Princess Estelle have grown up with this baaing gang in the pasture.
- Right now there are 4 ewes and 9 lambs in the sheep garden at Haga, they are very affectionate and very much appreciated by the Crown Princess family, says Johan Tegel at the court's information department.
- The sheep came in early May and stay all summer. They are from the same breeder in the Örebro area as "the King's sheep" at Djurgården, and they enjoy the protected pasture with the fine grass.
That the sheep come is obviously a highlight for Estelle and Oscar. Now the herd has been in their large pasture for a few weeks, and they are also next door to the royal bees in their sunny yellow beehives. However, the bees and the sheep are friends, no crashes there.

Oscar is adorable with the sheep. Like most little boys, not afraid to get dirty and play out in the fields with the animals. ;)

I loved the pictures with the bees. And the kids learning about them :flowers:

Not sure Rio needs around the clock watch. Daniel may just have been busy with work.

Oscar looks so chuffed to meet the sheep - super cute! He looks so much like Daniel.

We know that Daniel loves golf, and he has also told that he plays floorball.
But now he plays also padel, has played from the end of last year. Article from 10th January.

Prince Private Student at Vasquez: "Great Potential"
Now we can talk about Royal Padel. Prince Daniel runs private lessons with Simon Vasquez. "He has great potential", says the Number One Player in Sweden.
During the first WPT competition in Båstad, Prince Carl Philip was present during the final weekend. But interest in the sport is broader than that within the royal family.
A few weeks ago, Prince Daniel contacted Good to Great in Stockholm for help with his padel.
- He had started playing with friends, but wanted to learn more and take lessons, says Simon Vasquez. Then it was Martin Lorentzon (founder of Spotify) who recommended me.
It has now resulted in greater cooperation. The prince takes lessons 1-2 times a week.
- We tested a few weeks ago and said we would kick off after the New Year. So here we go now.
What was it like to meet the prince the first time?
- It was a little tense. You had no idea what it would be like if he were to come there with bodyguards.
Did he do that?
- Yes, I think there was a couple who sneaked around ...
After a hard pass today, Simon Vasquez has only praise to say about his adept.
- He's super nice. Really nice. We clicked well in the beginning and have it very relaxed on the court. Daniel is a very nice gentleman.
How is he as a player?
- He has good potential. He was clearly better than I expected. He has a lot of ball in him and is physically strong. He is very fit so you have to run.
The fact that Prince Daniel is well trained is not strange. He was previously a gym owner and it was in the role of PT that he came in contact with Princess Victoria.
How long have you been planning to drive?
- It will be all year. In fact, we have already set goals for which of his friends he is going to beat later, haha.
How good he is after a year of training with you?
- Hard to say. But he will definitely be good.

Victoria has written a greeting to all those who graduate this spring, it has been sent to the schools, Victoria writes among other things:
"To you who this spring end your secondary education
On behalf of the entire Royal Family, I would like to congratulate you for graduating.
It has been a special spring this year. The last semester of your school has not been quite as you, your family and friends have thought. The Covid-19 pandemic has affected us all and is likely to continue to do so for some time to come.
Despite these circumstances, you have now passed an important milestone in life."
Victoria quotes also Studentsången, which was composed by her paternal great-great-uncle Prince Gustav and which for more than 150 years has been sung by youngsters on their way to adulthood.

Today Dagens Industri Di has Daniel's large interview, done at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences on 27th May when Daniel had entrepreneurship webcasts with Prince Daniel's Fellowship.

On the cover:
"Important not to let the company down
The ingenuity of the business world impresses Prince Daniel. In an interview with Di he talks about the challenges for the entrepreneurs he meets and about how the family supports local businesses."
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EZNM0JCXgAYC6yx?format=jpg&name=medium

The interview is a paywall article
Prince Daniel: Have friends with companies - it looks very dark to them
"I am incredibly touched and impressed with all the efforts that the business community makes in this horrible situation."
Prince Daniel says this in an interview with Di about the challenges facing the entrepreneurs he meets, about how he thinks corona is changing business and about how the family supports local businesses.

I hope that the other media quote this article, so we could read what Daniel has said.

Victoria was seen at Tyresta National Park on 21st May, the Ascension Day. Perhaps the whole family was on a trip there. Tyresta National Park is about 30 km away from Haga Palace. The Crown Princess Family's Christmas greeting in 2016 was filmed there.

Crown Princess Victoria is a person who can quickly adapt to the situation. She has integrity but is at the same time flexible and flexible. But at one point, she definitely says no.
Our dear Crown Princess is not a coffee drinker. No, she prefers tea - preferably Earl Gray! Many at Svensk Damtidning have traveled with Victoria over the years and it never fails. If she is offered coffee she gratefully but firmly refuses. And if there isn't tea at all, she may "mouth" a bit on the coffee cup. But there will be no big sips!
At Haga, the tea moments are sacred. They have been there for Victoria and Daniel ever since they were close. Then they used to sit at the Prince's kitchen table, in the apartment on Banérgatan, in the evenings - with their own teacups.
Perhaps this is a ritual that the Crown Princess learned from her dear auntie Princess Lilian. Not only did she have the sassiest humor of the royal family. She was also the biggest tea drinker! In the traditional, royal way.
The latest picture of Victoria and Daniel shows how the Crown Princess couple has a meeting, in front of the computer screen, in the dining room at Haga. And it never fails. On the table, next to Victoria, stands quite a large cup of black tea. Filled to the width and with a splash of milk in.

Victoria and Daniel long for going to Ockelbo. But it takes time before they can go there.
The whole Sweden was looking forward to celebrating Victoria and Daniel on their 10-year wedding anniversary, June 19. Not least the Prince's hometown Ockelbo. But then came the corona virus.
Simon Lundström, communicator at Ockelbo Municipality, says that a big celebration had been planned to pay tribute to the Crown Princess couple. The hashtag #LoveOckelbo would symbolize the love year of 2020 and you would pay them a little extra attention during midsummer.
But now the plans hang loose and "it doesn't look bright", as Simon Lundström describes it. The event that both the municipality and the residents have longed for may have to be canceled, at the advice of the Public Health Agency.
Victoria and Daniel have always loved Ockelbo. The Prince for having so many fond memories of it and the Crown Princess for Ockelbo being a haven for her when she and Daniel had just met. There they were allowed to be themselves, without journalists and photographers who demanded attention.
Estelle and Oscar are also longing for Ockelbo right now. The royal siblings want to go home to Grandma Ewa and Grandfather Olle and play in the garden, as usual. But when the family can go there, Victoria and Daniel can't respond. The Prince's parents are both over 70 and are therefore at risk, and their health goes first without saying.
Bakslaget för Victoria och Daniel i Ockelbo _ Svensk Dam

Ten years have passed since the magical wedding day between Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. Ten years that we followed with pride and joy and now we want to celebrate again in Ockelbo!
Under the slogan Love Ockelbo we celebrated then and under that slogan we thought love bomb from Ockelbo in 2020.
At Wij Gardens, the flax fields will billow in blue and here and there in the municipality events and events will be permeated with love.
We intend that #loveockelbo should be used and strengthen the image of our beautiful Ockelbo around what is happening and happening. Big as small. We have the Ockelboandan, beautiful scenery and place to grow. Let more people discover this by visiting us, or visiting places you haven't been to before. There is much to see and experience in Ockelbo - a natural adventure.

The swedish press writes now about Victoria's letter to all those who graduate this spring.

The Crown Princess Victoria's comforting words to Sweden's students
No big parties and strict social distance. The many students who take the student today receive, to say the least, limited celebration.
In an open letter, Crown Princess Victoria is now addressing the country's new students in order to - despite the situation - spread hope for a bright future.

Kjell Erikhans made folk costume shows for Victoria in 1993:
Folk costume shoes for Crown Princess Victoria
In 1993, I was commissioned to manufacture costume shoes for Crown Princess Victoria.
When Crown Princess Victoria, also the Duchess of Västergörland, was to visit her duchy, she wore a completely newly-sewn Östgöta costume. But lacked matching folk costume shoes.
I went to Drottningholm and drew from Crown Princess Victoria's feet. Then I worked two days in a row to get the shoes ready in time.
The shoes were then handed over to Crown Princess Victoria at the Royal Palace.
At the articles Kjell says: "Wonderful to meet such a positive and grateful teenager as the Crown Princess". And "The Crown Princess was very happy about the shoes. It was fun to see a young girl appreciating the craft."
And at the article it is told that Victoria has shoe size 37.

"I have a friend who met the Crown Princess family earlier this week and she said Estelle is so similar to her mother. She is a calm and confident little girl! The whole family is (what I have heard from people that have met them) really sweet and nice!"

On June 19, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel will celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversary. The live broadcast was seen by millions of viewers and is said to be the largest event ever watched in Stockholm.
But there will be no major official celebration of the 10-year wedding anniversary.
- Since June 19 coincides with midsummer evening, it will be a special midsummer evening - but completely private, says Margareta Thorgren.
During the spring, the royal princess couple's royal calendar has looked different because of the corona epidemic. Many program points and meetings have been taken away or held digitally.
"Chosen to keep a low profile"
The royal family has shown their support for the efforts made in various parts of society to fight the covid 19 pandemic. Recently, Crown Princess Victoria wrote a letter to this year's students who may not be able to celebrate how they had hoped and looked forward to.
According to the court, Victoria and Daniel have the ongoing pandemic in mind when planning their anniversary celebration.
- Given that many weddings are canceled, and other celebrations such as the graduation, the Crown Princess couple has chosen to keep a low profile regarding their ten-year wedding anniversary, says Margareta Thorgren.

The royal court published today finally at its website the letter Victoria wrote to all those who graduated this spring.

To commemorate and congratulate the country's students, the Crown Princess has written a letter to all of Sweden's upper sedondary school graduates.
The letter from the Crown Princess has been sent to the country's more than 1300 upper secondary schools. Here you can read the letter in full and print it in pdf format.

This is the hiding place where Victoria and Daniel can be themselves - and now it has also become the solution to their tricky life situation.
How to spend time with your seventy-plus people this summer? This is a question that many people ask themselves. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel as well.
This is about the King, 74, and Queen, 76, of course, but also about Daniel's parents Ewa and Olle Westling, who are both 75.
Ewa and Olle's famous red house on Smältvägen in Ockelbo is not a really good alternative if Victoria and Daniel should be able to greet, it is at 140 square meters and here is about at least six people who are going to stay overnight.
So this is where Plan B comes into the picture - and then it's about Ewa and Olle Westling's somewhat secret holiday home, the red family farm in Acktjära just outside Bollnäs.
Ewa and Olle live in the red main house, while Victoria and Daniel have their own smaller log house on the site. And then there is a small house for life guards from Säpo.
Victoria, Daniel, Estelle and Oscar can live for themselves and they can meet seventy plus Ewa and Olle out in the yard, in the open air. Everything becomes so much easier then.
From the beginning, the red family farm was an old soldier cottage, and here Olle Westling and his ancestors have lived for generations.
This particular house also played a role already during Victoria and Daniel's first years together, it simply became their refuge.

Such a lovely couple and family. I remember the pix taken of the other Royal families during the event, everyone seemed so genuinely delighted !

Great to see the Westling family homes, though I hope they are not upset by these pictures being published.

They have been published many times during the years, about Olle and Ewa's house in Ockelbo right after it was told that Victoria is dating Daniel. And the photos about Victoria and Daniel's summer house in Acktjära were published for the first time in 2006, when the houses were built.

Thank you for that, I had not realised that was indeed the case.

Isn't it lovely we are happy they can see their parents and talk to them in person and we worry it night have cost them the little privacy they had left. So glad it hasn't and I wish the same for all the Royals even though there will be no hugs and kisses. That must be hard for all children in the same situation royal or not.

Daniel has been named as First Honorary Member of Göteborgs Golf Klubb last year.
"One of the club's major historical events took place in 2019, with His Royal Highness Prince Daniel being elected First Honorary Member. It is the club's Historical Committee as well as committed members who have worked with the Royal Court on this issue and during the fall, the club received pleasing message from Daniel who answered yes to the club's request to become an honorary member, which members also accepted during the autumn meeting.
Now we hope to find good opportunities for the future to take advantage of having Prince Daniel as First Honorary Member. The Prince is also the patron of the club. The Prince's shown great interest in youth sports and golf in particular can be a source of inspiration for all of our current and future juniors."

That is such a fun video (Oscar's laugh is infectious)! It's hard to imagine another crown prince(ss)ly family doing a video like this. Although... maybe it would have fit their Danish counterparts a few years ago.

Love this video! The moment when Estelle spotted Oscar in the pictures was super cute. A lovely insight into how the CP family have been living in lockdown together.

Short clip of Victoria talking at Radiohjälpen's Facebook. "Big thanks to all of you who have supported Crown Princess Victoria's fund! Thanks to you, a lot of new activities have become possible now when we cannot see eachother as usual."
I think this may be a clip of the longer video of Crown Princess Victoria's Fund which is always shown during the Victoria Concert.
Victoria says at the video
"I think on the whole during this corona pandemic that many initiatives have been taken. It has really blossomed many different aids to be able to move and many may have that challenge now during the corona era. This is a very specific area where you see that you can really help."

May 2020: Grants from Crown Princess Victoria's Fund
Here you can see which associations were awarded grants for leisure activities for children and young people in Sweden with a disability or chronic illness.
A total of SEK 8,462,196 was granted to 94 applications.
Since the applications were made just before the pandemic broke out, several associations had to cancel theirs activities or postpone them for later in the year. Nine applications for a total of SEK 7,333,096 refer to the fund's special investment due to pandemic: for countering mental ill health and for emergency support for children and young people at risk groups. (For instance Stockholm City Mission and The Red Cross got SEK 1 million each).

Crown Princess Victoria's pink tulle dream she wore at the Polar Music Prize has become one of her most acclaimed dresses ever.
Crown Princess Victoria makes rarely mistakes when it comes to fashion, she has worn many beautiful gown dresses that are worthy of a royal but she isn't also afraid to take out the turns and do something more daring.
One of those occasions was at the Polar Music Prize in 2019. When Victoria showed up on the red carpet wearing the pink dress in tulle, she got everyone's attention and the tributes did not wait. The critics loved the style, which could have become a little cute and princess-like, but together with an elegant hair set and natural make-up, the overall effect became slightly out of the ordinary. It shone from the crown princess who wore the dress with a lovely confidence.
The designer behind the success is Selam Fessahaye, who has dressed many Swedish celebrities for the red carpet in various contexts, but this was the first assignment for the Swedish royal house. In the web series Studio Selam on Aftonbladet TV she talks about the process.
- This year has been completely crazy and that the royal house would take contact was ... it's dopey, says Selam when she thinks back to how it all started.
She says that Victoria didn't have much objections, but that she came to try the dress. But there were complications for Selam, until two days before the gala she had worked on another idea, which she completely abandoned at the last minute. However, the Crown Princess never showed any signs of concern.
- They kind of gave me completely free hands, but I ruled out what I had done two days before the Polar Music Prize. This is what we have been thinking, it is not possible. But she was calm anyway!
Selam also admits that if it would have been up to her it might have become an even more spectacular entry for Victoria at the gala.
- This dress might have been a little too pink, a little too princess for Crown Princess Victoria, while I might have wished it was even more pink, even more tulle, even more dramatic. So we really found each other in that garment and it was so fun because it was a challenge from both sides, Selam concludes.

Victoria and Daniel's secret hiding place - that's why the neighbors keep quiet
Daniel's childhood home has truly become the sanctuary of the Crown Princess family, thanks to the silent agreement of all the neighbors.
Ockelbo. The small community in Gästrikland where Daniel was born and raised is only a two hour drive north from Stockholm. It's not great, Ockelbo, but all the more cozy.
The proximity to the lakes, meadows and forest makes the community a real idyll. It's no wonder that Crown Princess Victoria gladly went up to Ockelbo instead of staying in Stockholm when the relationship between Daniel started. Daniel's parents live in the house where Daniel grew up in and it has always felt like a safe haven for the Crown Princess couple.
Because it is not only Daniel's parents who have resisted all the media pressure over the years, but the neighbors around them have also quietly agreed that Victoria and Daniel should be at peace when they visit Daniel's hometown. Many tone down all the fuss and let the Crown Princess family go to Ica and act like any family. As Daniel said in several interviews:
"I think there is a special Ockelbo spirit that is based on the fact that the people of Ockelbo are very genuine and care about each other"
And perhaps it is so that the people of Ockelbo have jointly decided that however proud they are that Victoria and Daniel have such a strong bond to society, it is most important that they see Ockelbo as a sanctuary.
