Thanks for all the great pictures Lena - Princess Madeleine looked wonderfully radiant as ever!

To be honest, this was my thought too. And she´s less tanned, maybe she has read the ridicule on that topic in different forums, has cried for a while and has then thrown away the solarium-member-card (if so, bravo prinsessan!)

haha, yes thats it! she has to hide the love bites :)

I think that red suit looks great on her! Red- black is always a good match!

I found this at www.passagen.se. Its a place where people chats about different things and one forum is for gossip and celebrity talk...

I found this about Madeleine. Could be true - could be total bullsh*t

My friends bumps into her all the time...
One night at Sturecompagniet the princess accidentally step on my friends toe and she immediately said "sorry". My friend thought the princess seemed nice and met her again at the dance floor. She was just like any other girl that time.

An other friend of mine went to the same class as Madeleine at Enskilda gymnasiet. At first she didn´t wanted to tell me anything about Madeleine but later she told me that once, during a class trip they had been at a strip club... So she isn´t as innocent as one think she is :)

One of my co.workers told me that a friend of hers went to the same art class as Madeleine at Stockholm university.
Madeleine always used to sneak into the classroom at the last minute and always sat in the back of the room and she never said anything.
When the class was over, she disapeared, quick.
Once my friend read a paper Madeleine wrote and he said that he never had read anything that bad in his whole life.

Another girlfriend of mine saw Madeleine at the cinema last week and she was really pretty and beautiful. Very thin and petite.

 I´ve read the very same like you today, Yennie. I wasn´t sure, if I should copy it or not...I mean the ppl in passagen-debatt have also written, that Victoria had an abortion and that Daniel Collert was the father.
But maybe it´s true...I mean the little stories about Madeleine (not the abortion)

En gång fick han läsa en uppsats som hon hade skrivit för att ge en bedömning och han sa att han aldrig läst något så dåligt i hela sitt liv.
"One time he could read a paper, which she has written to get a judgement/grade and he said, that he has never read something that was so bad in his whole life"

Couldn´t there jealousy play a role...I´m sure he has read worse things (Daniel Nyhlen´s publications in Aftonbladet for example)

I would not trust those rumours, especially not if they'se said the things Lena said in the post before me - AND in high school I had a friend of a friend who went to the same school as Princess Madeleine (Enskilda Gymnasiet), in her parrallell class. And she once told me a bit about how it was and so on, and it was not like these things they said on Passagen. This person I'm referring to said that Madeleine was a bit shy, tried her best with the studies although she had to fight for her grades harder than her fellow classmates (and it's a really competitive school) - and that she kept very much to her little group of friends. No one could enter their world, but she was friendly to people - but they all knew the barrier.

true... things like abortion etc is obvious not true...
But seeing Madeleine at the cinema or at Sture compagniet doesnt seems like that impossible :)

Yes, you´re right...and this shouldn´t have been criticism :) We´re all old and mature enough to take this comments with a "grain of salt". Some may be true, and some reflects the own view of the people, who have told this story (to their friends). For example...I wouldn´t describe Madeleine as "little" (neither in the sense of "petite" nor in the sense of "very (childlike) young" and "sweet"...but on the other hand I wasn´t in the cinema with her maybe she looks there different ;) ) When she was there... a cinema is a very "neutral" place, where everybody can go...so maybe the person have seen a person, who has just looked like Madeleine?

What school would take a class trip to a strip club?

:D I guess no school. But it could have been, that the had an evening "off" during a longer trip (a week or so) and that they have then decided to go there. To have an evening off isn´t that unusual. When we´ve made longer trips during high school (To Rome + Florence, or skiing trips) we could also go to bars.
Of course I don´t want to hint, that she was at a strip club! But I would say it´s possible.

hopefully none :)
But as Lena said, they could have been there on one of their "evenings off"

But I think we should take all this gossip with a pinch of salt (do you say that in english? we do in swedish anyway :) and just read it for fun and nothing else

Lately I came across an old discussion ;) :

Yennie in February 2004:
But I think we should take these stories with "en nypa salt" (dont know how to translate that into english)
Dennis on that in February 2004:
"en nypa salt"
A grain of salt. Used in English quite often.
;) ;) Sorry, when I sound now like a "smart ass", but I just wanted to show, how much you can forget when you´re an very active poster ;) It´s the same for me...today I´ve read in an old Daniel-thread...and it seems that I´m repeating myself a lot :D

But to get back to topic, yes we should take it with "en nypa salt"...especially since they now start to assume/claim, that Madeleine is powdering her little nose with a very "special white powder".

its more common to hear "a grain of sand" but its all the same. :D

Pale face is in again?

is that what a "very special white powder" is about?

What do you mean exactly?
I´ve refered on this swedish gossip-board of which Yennie had the report about the encounters with Madeleine. And now there a poster on this board has said that he has heard that Madeleine is sometimes a little bit powdered around her nose (I´m not 100% sure about the meaning...I think they´ve meant cocaine, but maybe this is also a swedish saying and simply means, that she´s arrogant...maybe the Swedes can explain...the original sentence: "Hörde i helgen att prinsessan ibland är lite väl pudrad runt näsan. Kan det stämma?")

haha, you´re right Lena! Now I remember that we talked about the salt before :) "must remember a agrain of salt, must remember a grain of salt..."
I think they´ve meant cocaine, but maybe this is also a swedish saying and simply means, that she´s arrogant...
I think the poster is refering to cocaine to. I have never heard anyone use that expression about something else than drugs

I think and personally take all these incredibly trashy gossip claims as just that - gossip!!!! People love to gossip about this sphere of people that they can never be a part of - and I think these people belong to that very group. I think all of this just sounds rediculous. The only thing I believe is that she is friendly to people who bump into her in clubs or shops - but that's all. The friend of a friend that I told you about in my earlier post (who went to Madeleine's parallell class) is a very reliable and credible source - she has belonged to this kind of world all her life and knows what she is talking about. The majority of students at Enskilda Gymnasiet comes from privileged backgrounds, but there is also a group that doesn't - they get in based on high grades and being achievers (as the school is, if not the best, one of the top schools in the country). But even so, Madeleine was very careful who she mixed with in school, and kept to her little group of friends. And I think all this makes her and her little clique the perfect target to gossip about...

Who actually belonged to this little group of friends? Lussan and...?

While searching for pics of Madeleine´s graduation I´ve found this information on Katrine´s website (www.princess-madeleine.com): The Princess is currently studing at Stockholms University. She's been going through different art courses and written a big paper on Princess Eugenie who lived from 1830 to 1890.

Who was princess Eugenie and what´s her connection to arts? And why does Madeleine write in her basic courses about a princess? 20 points course in

I think the reason why Madeleine wrote about her, well actually she wrote about Villa Fridheim, is that she was very involved with music and arts, just like Madeleine is.
Princess Eugenie started a nursering home and was a real "humaniterian"

Thank you for the informations, Yennie...would be nice, when Madeleine would become in all aspects like her :)

One of these "makes me jealous"-articles. Anyway, I would pay for the clothes in the case of the Royal children, otherwise they work as promotional models for these companies! And as we all know modern Royal houses shoud avoid this.

I absolutely agree with you Lena - it's not good for the Royal Family to become associated with companies and brands like this... Some comfort in the fact that the "friend" in this article says that at least Princess Madeleine wants to pay, but that the shopkeepers insists... She - as Princess of Sweden and daughter of The King - should set down her foot and say "I want to pay - end of story!". Hopefully the Court is now aware of this, and perhaps they will take it up.

I´ve found an english article about the clothes for free. I´m not sure about the source, a poster named Brooklyngirl on the crown princess Mary MB has posted it:

NEWS IN ENGLISH
SWEDEN:
Royal children used in marketing

Carin Pettersson 13.10.04 12:18

Swedish stores annually give away tons of clothes to Princess Madeleine and Prince Carl Philip because it is considered to be a good marketing technique.
Foto: Lise Åserud / SCANPIX / POOL

Employees at several Swedish stores, which carry the hottest designer clothes, admit willingly, when asked by the Swedish paper Aftonbladet, that they provide clothes for the two youngest members of the Swedish Royal family without asking them to pay a dime.

Great marketing
The two of them has allegedly accepted jackets, pants, sweaters, and many other things on several occasions, reported the paper.

«It is no secret that the Royal children are a great way of marketing our products. Particularly Madeleine is a creator of trends among young women,» said one employee at one of the stores.

Principle against marketing
The Royal Court reacts to the information, and stated that it is a principle not to accept clothes from companies that want to market their products.

Friends of Princess Madeleine said to the paper that she always insists that she wants to pay for the goods, but that the stores often will not allow her to do so.

Now royalcourt.se has published a denial:

http://www.royalcourt.se/5.6397ebfe0f667a957fff2782.html

It says that Madeleine and Carl Philip have only one time gotten clothes for free in a fashion boutique. And then they have tried to protest against that. How can we imagine that: Carl Philip with a mad look and in fight position, Madeleine crying (a river of tears running down her cheeks) but the shop assistant said with a cold voice and a gun in his hands "No, you´re not allowed to pay" ;) ;) ;)

BTW the name "Nyhlén" is wrong written in the denial...they´ve forgotten the "h".

I was just at the store and saw a pocket with madeleine on the fron a picture from the jordanien state visit gala we have seen many photos like that with a pink background I think but kind of book is it have you seen it before?

I´ve seen the book. Its about överklassen, the upperclass, and its written by Anette Kullenberg

I wonder, why they´ve chosen a pic of Madeleine, where she´s so "stupid"-looking. What´s the keynote of this book? Is it objective and factual or more satirical and full of "communistic"/"socialistic" jealousy?

bigger pic:

Perhaps this picture was chosen because she looks as though she is disgusted, or "looking down" on someone...I don't know what the book is about, so maybe I'm way of par...but it's just a thought.
