I also like to add that it's a shame that Prince Joahim is away...not that Princess Alexandra can't hold the fort on her own but in such occasion it would be nicer to see her with Joahim at her side now that Mary will always be at the side of Prince Frederick.

Splendid colour combination ... actually imo it makes Mary look better with that scarlett red behind her.

Those silver spikes on the back of the red, er ... scarlett jacket almost look like the ramparts of a fortress and as a far-fetched notion like the peaked roofs of a castle. Am I correct in this thought, or does anybody have any history to share in this regard ?

I heard that the gifts that got exchanged were as follows:

Margrethe and Henrik gave Henri and Maria Teresa a B&O music centre (Bang & Olufsen products are know to be top of the line), and a painting made by Queen Margrethe (that was taken out of the Odense exhibit as I read earlier).

Henri and Maria Teresa gave Margrethe and Henrik a giant 1 m tall vase made from white and royal blue porcelain designed by Villeroy & Boch (world-famous factory located in Luxembourg).

Her name is Lydie Polfer and she belongs to the government of Luxembourg. She is Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Nachdem der erste Tag des Luxemburger Staatsbesuchs in Dänemark am Montag vorwiegend von kulturellen Höhepunkten mit einem Besuch von Großherzogin Maria Teresa im berühmten Museum "Louisiana" sowie anschließend einer gemeinsamen Besichtigung des großherzoglichen Paares der Kunstschätze von Schloss Fredensborg, 40 Kilometer von Kopenhagen entfernt, geprägt war, stand am Dienstag die Stadt Aalborg auf der Halbinsel Jütland im Norden von Dänemark im Mittelpunkt des Besichtigungsprogramms von Großherzog Henri und Großherzogin Maria Teresa und ihrer Delegation. Überraschend vielfältig sind Landschaft und Kultur der knapp 30 000 km2 großen Halbinsel Jütland, die im Süden an Schleswig-Holstein grenzt. Weite Felder und flaches Marschland gehören zum Südteil mit bezaubernden Kleinstädten wie Ribe und Tonder und dem weltberühmten Legoland, wo die Kleinsten allemal die Größten sind. An der Nordseeküste mit endlos langen Sandstränden und atemberaubenden Steilküsten kann man optimal Energie tanken und im Rhythmus der Gezeiten den hektischen Alltag vergessen.

The first day of the Luxembourger State Visit to Denmark on Monday was high-lighted by Grand Duchess Maria Teresa's visit to the famous "Louisiana" Muesum followed by a tour by the Grand Ducal Couple of the art collection in Fredensborg Castle 40 km away from Copenhagen. On Tuesday, the focus of the viewing program of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and their delegation was on City of Aalborg on the peninsula of Jutland in the north of Denmark. The countryside and the culture are surprisingly varied of the almost 30,000 km2 (11,600 mi2) area of the Jutland peninsula which borders in the south on Schleswig-Holstein. Wide fields and flat marschs are a part of the south with wonderful little towns like Ribe and Tonder and the world-famous Legoland, where the smallest are the largest. There are endless sand beaches along the North Sea Coast, as well as breath-taking cliffs, both of which lend themselves to a recharging of the spirit and a forgetting of the hectic of home.
