Queen Mathilde attended the international fashion conference 'Fashion Talks - Get inspired in Antwerp', the first major international fashion conference held in Belgium. The conference was organized by the 'Flanders Fashion Institute' and discussed various aspects of the fashion industry.

Today, November 18, Queen Mathilde has made a visit to the UZ Leuven hospital in Leuven as part of the aloud reading week, organized by Stichting Lezen and focusing this year on children in hospitals. She also attended a roundtable discussion with authors and illustrators also participating in the reading aloud week.

Queen Mathilde has made a visit to the exposition 'Henry van de Velde - Passion-Function-Beauty'' on Belgian painter, architect and interior designer Henry van de Velde at the Royal Museum of Art and History in Brussels today, December 10. Van de Velde was one of the main representatives of Art Nouveau in Belgium.

Yesterday, March 9, Queen Mathilde received a delegation of children from Karrewiet (Ketnet), the Belgian child and youth TV station. The children handed out the trophy "Karrewiet - Moment of the year" for "Prince Philippe becomes King" that had been one of four nominees.
