Last year's flower contest was cancelled, this year the 51st "Concours International de Bouquets 2019" took place on the terraces of the Casino of Monte-Carlo on May 4 and 5.

^^^^^ And there is not room for more than one First Lady. Caroline has held that status almost since her mother's death and has never shown any inclination to abdicate that position to Charlene.
Caroline reminds me of the QM who, after the death of her husband, had a hard time letting go of her position, especially her favourite jewels. Many of which were designated for the Queen or Consort. HM didn't have access until after her Mother's death. Likewise I have only seen Caroline wearing her mother and grandmothers jewels.

I don't agree - Charlene did plenty when she started out. Why have those activities dried up? They don't have the same interests anyway. Caroline doesn't do as much as she used to either. She certainly is very aware of status and a dominant character and I think she has a sense of duty. I still think there is enough for Charlene to be more visible in Monaco and also at a few more events with Albert while Caroline does her thing. But, I've come to the conclusion that she and Albert have agreed this is how their relationship works - I find it strange but if they're happy...
Princess Charlotte's jewellery was left to Princess Caroline. Stephanie has worn her mother's jewellery when she did more gala type events. Don't know what the situation is with Charlene but as she barely wears her own jewellery... Also, not sure she would want to wear the jewellery of the woman she gets compared to...

Agree with You Florestane. There’s a lot of events who Charlène could attend. The funeral of The Granduke of Luxemburg for instance.....and many others.

I agree with Florestane and Noda. There is no much space left to Charlene. There is only one First Lady and Caroline has more public duties than Charlene has. Sometimes I have the impression that there is a kind of rivalry between the two women. Of course Charlene could accompany Albert to the funeral in Luxembourg. I didn't like to see Albert alone there. I think it is up to Albert to arrange it. But, maybe Charlene has accepted her role as the mother ot the crown prince. (sorry for my English...)

Is this event the same as the famous Grand Prix? Could someone kindly humor the clueless one here?
Thanks in advance!

This is the Grand Prix for electric cars - - something that P Albert will certainly support.

This is so lovely to see. Usually we never see the grand kids with anything about grace so heartwarming to see andrea and pierre there. Would love to have seen photos of them looking at grace. Would've been beautiful photos.
