The Queen not only visited her daughter and family, as babysat her grandchildren, whilst the rest of the family dined out.(According to the Hola article.

They gave their more felt condolence to the Ambassador of the Caribbean country in Madrid, Yolette Azor Charles, during the receipt in the Royal palace to the Diplomatic corps credited in Spain

It's been the funeral of Fina de Calderón, a Spanish writer, musician
and poet who died at the age of 82 after a cerebral attack.

Her Royal Highness the Infanta Elena attended the funeral last Monday for the soul of Fina de Calderón, poet so closely tied to Toledo who died last January 11 in Madrid and whom the City would pay tribute in a month with the presentation of his book Toledario.
 
The King and Queen and the Prince and Princess send telegrams of condolence for the attack of Afghanistan

The King and Queen and the Prince and Princess of Asturias sent today telegrams of condolence to the Spanish minister of Defense, Carme Chacón, and to the chief of the General Staff, general Jose Julio Rodríguez, for the death of the soldier John Felipe Romero Meneses in an attack in Afghanistan.

As reported sources of the House of the King, the king Juan Carlos and Sofia, together with the prince Felipe and his wife, the princess Letizia, they wished likewise in their missives a fast recovery of six soldiers wounded in the attack.

So nice to see Queen Sofia enjoying time with grandchildren. She is such a wonderful grandmother.
