The Princes say goodbye in Oviedo
Don Felipe and dona Letizia were useful their last day in Asturias to visit the shop of the aunt of the Princess and to greet an aunt grandmother
Oviedo, Beatriz F. MORÍN
Family day. Don Felipe and dona Letizia dedicated yesterday their last day of stay in Asturias, in this summer stage, to the family of the Princess. After passing the whole morning in Sardéu, in house of her paternal grandmother, Menchu Álvarez del Valley, and to have lunch with her to say goodbye, they left " The Arquera " with an intense typically Asturian "orbayo" who wanted to accompany them up to Ranón's airport, where they took a plane to the 9.30 of yesterday night.
Passed the four of the evening, under a gray sky, the Princes intended to Oviedo to realize two visits. They went, first, to the shop of decoration and design of Henar Ortiz, paternal aunt of dona Letizia, with whom they had had dinner the previous night in Ribadesella. Located in the center of the city, the back-room of the trade was the place chosen to share the last confidences before the item. In spite of the fact that an onlookers' couple they had realized the presence of the couple, nobody placed in front of the place.
The citizens who were passing before the shop window were not imagining that the Princes of Asturias were in the interior chatting calmly. Some persons, during the time that lasted the visit, they were observing the exposed objects, furniture, decorative elements and jewels. Don Felipe, thinking that nobody would notice their presence, was appearing and looking towards the street occasionally.
A bit before seven o'clock in the afternoon, the Princes said goodbye of Henar Ortiz, who accompanied them at the edge of the place, and went out towards the street, not without before opening their umbrellas, under one of which dona Letizia hid herself of the only camera that was waiting for them. First the Princess went out and later don Felipe, taking his own umbrella and calmer much before the aim. The two were dressing of sport, as five days that their stay has lasted in Asturias. The Princess was taking a trousers color khaki, a white jacket, shoes of brown color sports type and a purse. He, denim trousers, shirt of sleeve talks of to stripes and jersey burdeos over the shoulders. They intended towards the car. Some persons identified them and greeted them with perplexity.
They did the second stop in Oviedo, to visit the sister of the paternal grandfather of dona Letizia, Jose Luis Ortiz, deceased last March. In house of the aunt Carmina, since she is known familiarmente, they lunched a few domestic "frixuelos".
On nine o'clock in the night they came to the airport of Asturias to take the plane that had his exit foreseen towards Madrid half an hour later, putting end like that to their stay of five days in Asturias. During the week, in which they prevailed the good time, they enjoyed the coast, ate and had dinner in Ribadesella, the villa in which the Princess passed their summers of infancy and youth, and accompanied Menchu Álvarez del Valle. The stews of the grandmother and the Asturian landscape, dyeing in the last day for the "orbayo", were the keynote of a summer visit, the second one of the couple, marked by dona Letizia's pregnancy.
