Immediately after the news of the accident with the Spanish helicopter in Afghan, King Juan Carlos was informed by the president of the Government and the minister of Defence. According to sources of the Royal House, the Kings, along with the Princes of Asturias and the rest of the Royal Family, are deeply impressed and consternated by this tragic event.

The King Juan Carlos will head the Spanish delegation that will travel in September to New York to take part in the Chiefs' summit of State summoned by United Nations, which will coincide with the celebration of its 60 º anniversary, in the one that one will inspect the aims of the Millenium and there will be thrown the process of reform of the organism. Before, don Juan Carlos will move to Rome for a hearing with Benedicto XVI. The agenda of the King continues being outlined, as indicated sources of the Royal Household, but it seems that there is closed that don Juan Carlos will meet with the Pope on September 5, before dividing towards New York. He will be the foreign agent chief executive first in visiting the Pope, since it was happening to Juan Paul II.

I'm afraid so.
I live in the Canary Islands, where Alexia of Greece lives. In addition, the Princes of Asturias came to my island last year, but I've never been so lucky. Anyway, I keep the hope because... who knows? Maybe one day I just get the chance.

The Institute of Secondary Education Majada Marcial, in Puerto del Rosario will receive next 19th the act of inauguration of the 2005-2006 school year. While they wait the royal visit, a lot of workers labour to conclude the works of two new centres in time. The Institute of Secondary Education Navarro Artiles of Puerto del Rosario has been chosen by the Department of Education and Science for the official act of opening of the 2004-2005 school year, which will be celebrated next September 19.
The decision has been confirmed by the insular delegate of Education of the Government of Canaries, Luis Gonzalez, who has advanced to CANARIAS7 the presence in the act of the president of the regional Executive, Adam Martin and of the minister Maria Jesus San Segundo.

Without an official confirmation for safety reasons, sources of the Council of Education guarantee the presence of the King of Spain in the act. The inaugurations of both previous years, celebrated in Caceres and Corunna, were presided by Don Juan Carlos, whereas Infanta Cristina attended, this time in Burgos, on 2002.

I have to say that, as a Canary Islander, I'm very happy with this new.

Benedicto XVI received today in hearing the Kings of Spain, a meeting of private character, according to the Holy Headquarters, which took place in Castel Gandolfo, summer residence of the dads from the XVIIth century.
Before returning to Spain, at 12.20 hours (10.20 GMT), the Kings spoke with the journalists and said to them that their meeting with Benedicto XVI had been very cordial.
Don Juan Carlos emphasized the ' opened, nice and alive) ' character of the Pontiff, whereas Dona Sofía indicated that private room is mas that his predecessor, Juan Paul II, but that makes a great sense of the humor.
The Kings came to the Palace Pontificio minutes before 11.00 hours (09.00 GMT), after travelling to Rome in a plane of the Air Spanish Forces, which landed in Ciampino's airport.
